This was an extremely worthwhile tour in Belfast and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Belfast. It gave us the ability to learn the history and find out what areas of Belfast we needed to explore. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, answered questions and made the tour enjoyable.
Good route and live commentary by very knowledgeable local guides. They made the unrest in this city come to life and the hardships it caused on the people but at the same time being very positive for the future.
Provides a quick overview of the key tourist areas of Belfast. The stops are limited too areas where there is an attraction. I was interested in the murals and the bus went by some of them too quickly to get photos or even take them in. If you want the murals, go and hire one of the specialized tours.
Even with the cold weather it was best to be on top, outside if you want photos. Dress warm for winter tours. If you want to spend more time at an attraction, get on the early bus, do the loop and then go back to the docks or Parliament building. The Botanic Garden area is only a 20 minute walk to downtown so you can make that a last stop if you are staying in that area.
I had trouble finding the right street to catch the bus and had to ask the street ticket sellers. Don't rely on the bus map, it's not super detailed.
This was an excellent tour. Storment Parliment. Titanic site, Shankill and Falls Roads were the highlights.
The guide was knowledgable and entertaining.
Highly reccommended.
The weather was not so flash the day we done this tour but the guide was very informative and we thought that this was a great Hop On Hop Off tour, just a shame about the weather.
Tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was interesting with the perfect amount of humor. You definately want to be up top with the guide to get the full advantage of the live commentary.
Definitely an inexpensive and pleasant way to see the city. Tour bus did not have a live tour guide so that was a bit of a drawback as the taped commentary was often difficult to hear and follow. Even so, we enjoyed it.
Tour was enjoyable and fairly priced with an excellent running commentary. Paperwork supplied did not specify which tour bus company (their are two), but the driver was able to figure it out by the telephone number on the voucher,
Very informative this tour made me sad, its been a 15 years since the troubles ended so alot of the tour was devoted to the murals of those who had lost their lives. It did make me very interested in learning more about the history of N. Ireland
This was narrated by a real person and she did an excellent job. but it was not a hop on hop off. You kind of had to tell the guide when you wanted off. No real stops. Then flag down the bus when you wanted on.
We had a great time and the information was very informative. It gave us a lot of food for thought regarding the protests that happend in the past. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Enjoyed it and the tour guide was awsomely comedic.
