This was a great trip and a good value. Fast pace and lot's of wonderful info that helped me apprieciate what I was seeing. Guide knew a lot about the history. Fun!
Very enjoyable day out. Our guide was informative and helpful and made a point of spending a little time with everyone individually. We loved the boat tour of Bruges.
Our tour guide was amazing! Not only was he knowledgeable about the facts and all the questions that were asked, but he was personable and really made sure everyone had a good time. He also fluently spoke at least 4 languages and would interact with those that spoke those languages in their native tongue to make sure they understood his descriptions of things. In addition, Ghent and Bruges were beautiful and a definite MUST SEE! Not only will I use this company again, but I'll be taking this tour again when my mom comes to visit; she'll love it!
Great tour, guide did a nice job of speaking many languages and leaving time to explore on our own. Well organized.
This was an excellent tour. We took the tour to see Bruges, but the visit to Ghent was a "nugget" we had not expected. Our trip was way above our expectations, and thoroughly enjoyable. Even though cloudy most of the day there was little rain. The tour guide was well versed, and spoke English, Spanish and French. We enjoyed his narrative.
We had a great day thanks to our driver Michele and our tour guide Tina. Bruges was absolutely beautiful Jan and Jerry.
This day trip is so recommendable, you don't leave Belgium w/ out seeing Ghent and Bruges. Our tour guide was so Linguistic.
It drizzled the day we were visiting -- but who cared! Fabulous architecture, choices galore for eating and shopping, and great travel arrangements -- nothing to "dampen" this trip.
WOW! This was an awesome day....we met Jen our guide and were very pleased to discover it was only the two of us, a friend of his from Turkey, and himself....a private tour......
It was cool and raining, so Jn suggested we bypass going to Ostend and start in Ghent and see if the weather improved....Took us to the train station and we boarded immediately. Made it to Ghent by 9:30 and started the tour. hopped a train to the center and were amazed. Great info and history. stopped at the smallest bar and had ChocoMel. A great warmer on a cold day....qcontinued on tour and headed back to train station. hopped a train to Brugges. Arrived in 30 minutes.
Walked and took a canal ride, saw awesome sites. Visited a flea market and bought a terra cotta and glass tile bowl for 20 Euro!!!!
Had a great lunch of Finnish stew and frites. With mayonnaise of course! yummy! Continued through Brugges for several hours and then headed back to station. Jen gave us the option to head to Ostend, weather still rainy, or back to Brusells and a short tour there. we chose back to Brussells. Awesome day, guide, food, info, EVERYTHING. best thing, we paid for nothing all day except for the bowl!,,
This tour was absolutely fabulous. It was unfortunately pouring rain the day I went, but the cities are still magnificient and our guide was incredible. Highly recommended. You don't really need more than a day in Brugges, but if you go to Belgium, don't miss it!!!
The whole trip was good, excellent guide, it's a must if you visit Brussels.....make sure you book with Viator......excellent service and the guides are the best.
