My friend and I recently did the Flanders Fields tour with Quasimodo Tours out of Bruges and it was one of the main highlights of our 5 week trip around Europe. Philippe, along with his Australian wife Sharon, made the day flow effortlessly. We were picked up from our hotel by Sharon and taken on a short drive to meet Philippe in the Mini-bus. It's only a small tour of about a dozen people so we get plenty of personal attention and time to chat to Philippe who is so knowledgeable and passionate about WW1 history. He reaally gave us all such an insight into the tragedies and triumphs of the battles in that particular area during the First War. It was a really emotional day but I'm so glad I did it. Wouldnt recommend it for children but anyone with the remotest interest in WW1 history will come away with an understanding and in-depth knowledge you can't glean from any books. Highly recommended. And the scenery is gorgeous - an added bonus. Would love lto see more of Belgium now.
