The bus trip was good - but unfortunately so much time was taken driving us round Potsdam not enough time was left to see the Palaces. We were told if we went to the New Palace we wouldn't have time to see the Sans Souci Palace - and when we arrived there, we were told we could see the Palace or the gardens, but not enough time for both. The place where the historic Potsdam Conference was held was pointed out - hidden behind trees. We would LOVE to have walked there but were not given the option. So all we saw were the Sans Souci Palace gardens. The map was useless - we wanted to see Frederick's grave but no indication of where it was. We were bitterly disappointed with the tour as we basically were not given the chance to see what we wanted to see. Apart from looking around it was almost a complete waste of time and money.
Had not realized that the timing of the trip was from Charlottenberg and not Alexanderplatz - trip took 6 hours not 4 or 4.5 as expected and therefore we lost the afternoon activities we had planned. Needs to be made clearer to those who do not know berlin beforehand.
Driver also announced trip ended at Charlottenberg and suggested we made our own way back to Alexanderplatz as we were the only ones left in the bus.- did take us back when we expressed surprise and upset about the suggestion of taking the train back to our starting point.
Also waited in the cold to be picked up as the bus did not move up to the startng point until almost when the bus was due to depart - not 15 minutes ahead of time as we were asked tobe there. bus driver had parked 100 mtrs away.
journey to Potsdam also longer than expected - says 45 minutes - which we had assumed form pick up - but according to audio tape appeared to be formt eh outskirts of berlin and not even from Charlotenberg - misleading.
Much pf Potsdam placae grounds also closed for renovations - not flagged up in the information.
Quite good for what it is. The bus takes you to Potsdam and there is onboard commentary via headphones. You get to spend a couple of hours at Sanssouci. Inexpensive.
Our half day walking tour from West Berlin with Caroline was brilliant. Her knowledge surpassed our expectations. My 15 yr old grandson was never bored and thought it the best part of our 3 day tour of Berlin and Potsdam.
This was a nice trip made even better because of a sunny bright weather. Nice way to see Berlin, Potsdam.
There was no guide on this tour only audio recording. The driver did not speak English. The tour bus has two stop locations one each in east and west Berlin. Make sure to find the nearest one.
Potsdam is very beautiful. I like the park more than the palace :)!

Nice introduction to Potsdam for those who have never been. However, we missed our bus cause the instructions did not clearly state which entrance the meeting point was at. We ended up catching a taxi to the next departure point.
Really enjoyed our guide who was most knowledgeable. The tour gave a great insight in the lifestyle and history of Potsdam and well worth it. We did see some great venues and 'homes'. It would be a great option to offer a guided tour of Sanssoucci at the end of the tour as we tried to do this but would have had to wait over 2 hours to this. Would recommend this tour. There is a lot walking but it is quite easy.
This should have been a much more enjoyable tour than it turned out to be. I was pleased that I got to see the three palaces and the grounds, but there was no indication in the ads for the tour that so much walking would be involved (perhaps four miles). Had I known that, I would have scheduled another company's tour. By the time we reached Sanssouci, the highlight of the tour, I was too tired to care. I am 70 but fit, and the lengthy walking could have been avoided had the route been shortened. The tour guide, Jim, was very knowledgeable, but he of necessity hurried us through each stop so that taking pictures was rushed. We were also given only 30 minutes for lunch and no time for stops in Potsdam itself. This tour needs to be re-thought.
A really interesting tour and a great way to see Potsdam. Our guide was really good. We stopped at a lovely beer garden by the lake for lunch. Tam, our guide, helped everyone order their lunch. That was really appreciated since the menu was in German and I certainly needed help. The audio tour through the location for the Potsdam Conference was really interesting.
The trip was good, but we spent most of the trip being rushed. I would rather pay a couple of Euro more in order to have maybe six hours in total in order to visit Potsdam for a short while and the site of the Wicker Chairs. Our guide, Kevin Kennedy, was very knowledgeable and Sansoucci was pleasant, but be prepared to spend most of your time on the coach.
