I was a bit apprehensive about this trip but before I knew it we had dived and were seeing amazing shoals of fish and fish of all varieties. Lovely trip and an amazing experience.
Great tour. Matt was one of the best tour guides we ever had. Would recommend the tour, a definite must do.
This Luau was good, I loved the show, the dancers were really good, the only thing I did not like that much was the setting, it was a rather small place but overall we had fun, good food and excellent show.
Preston and Maria did and excellent job with our large family group. We saw a lot of whales and Preston drove the Zodiac so it was fun for the kids.
I must say I was a little disappointed in our experience I thought we were going into some sea caves and were going to see lava things. We just looked for Whales saw very few. Learned alot about what had been seen but we saw very little.
Eugene was a great tour guide. Very energetic and knowledgable of the park and surrounding areas. Great tour!
The food on offer was great and it was good to try local food. The dances on offer are from all over the South Pacific. If you are looking for just Hawaiin traditional music, dance and stories I would try another Luau. You can also watch this show from the pool area of the Royal Kona Resort for free!
Excellent show and enjoyed the location with the beach behind the stage. I was talked into this by family and thought it might be too crowded as on a prior experience but this seemed intimate enough to enjoy the talent. Thanks to all.
Really enjoyable tour, overall. My only complaint was that it is not explicitly stated on here that they only pick up at select hotels. This made it very difficult for me since I did not have a car. Otherwise, Taj was awesome and, even though we didn't see any active lava, it was a really enjoyable tour!
Our first Luau and we really had a good time. It's hard not to when you're in Hawaii. The dancers were great. Some problems with the sound system and lighting at times, and punch was pretty much just juice, but over all it was a great experience and we would recommend it to friends.
I am not very much into things many tourist like to do. I prefer spending time meeting locals and hearing their tips on what not to miss. This luau is very much one of those things I normally don't like to do but the show part was very entertaining. It was fun, and I learned a couple of things about the natives that I didn't know so that made it worth it. The food isn't particularly good, someone here in the reviews described it as "Cafeteria food" and I agree now. Not the quality of food that you would think for that kind of hotel.
The mai tais, sunset and show make it worth it though.
