Doing what: Kilauea Volcano Small Group Adventure Tour
This was a wonderful learning day! Our guide, Christina, was so knowledgeable. She is a college biology teacher (Dr.) and gave us so much information. The trip was well organized, meals and snacks were wonderful. We liked having only 8 in the group. We learned so much about volcanoes, rainforest (with a walk through), lava tubes (another walk through), lava beds, dessert and history of the area!

Excellent day. Our guide April 23 2012 was Taj, whose knowledge of the island and volcanoes was amazing. He took us to "not the usual tourist areas" which made the tour even better. Definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing tour! Terry our guide was great - really knowledgeable and helpful with questions when asked. Lunch and breakfast were enjoyable. Got a good amount of time in the park. Ashamed we didn't see any active lava flows (but dependent on if your lucky enough when you go). Definitely worth it!

Doing what: Kilauea Volcano Small Group Adventure Tour
For the cost of this tour we were very disappointed. Understandably we were not able to get close to the volcano as it was active but we expected to go out on a hike and get closer and see more. We also found that our guide was not that knowledgeable about the local plants, etc around the volcano, although he was a pleasant young man.

Doing what: Kilauea Volcano Small Group Adventure Tour
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! An excellent tour with an excellent guide (Matt) who had a terrific knowledge of geology, volcanology and also ancient Hawaiian legends. Several stops and side-tours during the day meant we not only saw the magnificent caldera at Kilauea, but explored a seldon visitted lava tube, had lunch on the beautiful cliffs on the coast, hiked over lava fields and tasted fruits and berries right off the bush - after making the necessary offering to the Goddess Pele of course! Finished the day off with a drive through tour of Hilo. The commentary was a wonderful mix of fact and cultural stories, all very interesting. A wonderful day and a tour we would do again if we went back to Hawaii. 5 stars to our guide Matt who really made this a special day.

The tour guide was the best and provided us with so much information. We took incredible photos and having a picnic lunch in the crater bed was awesome.

This was the best tour of the 5 we took while in the islands. Our guide was outstanding. He managed to keep everyone on the tour involved in the conversation all day - no easy task given that the other 3 people on the tour did not speak english as a 1st language. The snack and box lunch provided were great. Our guide gave us options of activites we hiked a mile or so out to previous eruption site and had lunch there. We capped the day off with a short public service gig helping rid the forest of a pervasive plant overtaking the forest floor. A can't miss tour if you can do the mild hiking! We'll definitely do more of their tours in the future.
