you are in boston and dont have anybody to guide you, this is the best way to roam and see many places.I doubt you can plan better on your own (unless you have local friends). Guides on the trolley were informative and good. The problem started in the afternoon. Time gap between the trolleys started increasing in the afternoon. We were a group of 4 adult + 1 toddler and had to wait for trolleys in the later part of the day. Twice when the trolleys came there were only 2 spots available and we had to wait for the next one. We couldnt hop off at the last 3 stops as it was close to 5pm and they were ending the tour. Not sure if it was isolated incident or if happens only in the afternoon when more people start taking the tour but it really screwed up the good experience we had in the morning. If you are a big group my suggession is to be there early in the morning....Hope you have a better experience than mine .
good value for money, very interesting gave a very good tour of all the sights and informed of where to get off for specific attractions. drivers were very entertaining.
Great overview of Boston. Good bus guides..entertaining. Needed more than one day for stopping at many locations.
I live locally and used this tour for out of state visitors. It was excellent. Each driver had a unique style, all were friendly and certainly knew their history.
My husband and I would have forgiven our driver -guide had the tour been uninterestingly dull or boring due to the weather conditions (heavy snow poured all day). However it proved to be one of the most entertaining and informative tours we've ever had. We thoroughly recommend Boston as a destination rich in the early history of this great nation.
Very enjoyable tours. We enjoyed the humour of the drivers and they were very informative. They were generous with their advice when it was requested. Would have liked to have been able to go to Harvard on this trip and not just to have been in the general area. Maybe next time?
Quality of tour is greatly dependent on the driver. As the driver is also the guide in Boston. Some were very enthusiastic, others had a political point they wanted to share. Overall worth doing.
Depended on which driver you got. One girl was vey enthusiastic but felt was a bit over the top. My next was a man full of boring history facts only. I preffered the 3rd man we had who combined history with buildings being pointed out and humour! Clever man and down to earth. Wasnt much to see in Boston but was good to do to get you bearings of the city if its your first time there!
The bus driver/tour guide was terrific. We learned a lot about the Cape Cod region. The harbor tour was great. The lunch stop, however, was not so good. Find a new Restaurant.
