Worth taking a trip to Boston just to do the Duck tours. Drivers very knowledgeble and keeps you laughing.
We had a fabulous time. We saw two different kinds of whales and many, many dolphins. The boat was nice and the crew was excellent. Would highly recommend.
We had the BEST time! Our reservation was honored.. our guide was knowledgeable and fun... and the tour was fascinating! If you get an offer to drive the Duck-Mobile, take it! One of the best tours ever, even for Bostonians!
Trip was absolutely fantastic, saw humpbacks and a minke. Marine biologist was excellent and easy to listen to. However we (and several others) had problems exchanging our voucher for the tickets as their computer system wasnt working properly. The girl at the kiosk didnt have any information to give us and it took several stroppy customers before she fetched her manager. So if you purchase ticketsfor this brilliant trip, make sure you allow plenty of time beforehand to collect your tickets.
Very disappointed, whales were very hard to spot, although this could have been because we went so early in the season.
As a single traveller this is probably not ideal as it was mostly couples and a few family groups. The staff were not comfortable with a single and kept checking that I was ok.
We loved our duck tour. Our duck guide Jason of the Argonauts was fantastic. Would recommend this tour to anyone, it appeals to all ages and is a great way to see the city.
Sadly we did not sea any whales on our trip. The weather wasn't too good, pouring with rain. We have been issued with open-ended replacement tickets, however as we live in the UK it's unlkely we wil be able to use them.
We booked a 10am trip but when we reached the harbour ticket booth we were told that they had cancelled the 10am trip, no explanation why but assume at this time of year it's getting quieter so didm't need so many trips. Luckily it was a beautiful day so stripped off some of the layers we needed for on the boat and spent 2 hours taking in the sites of the beautiful harbour area before getting the 12 o'clock trip. Big boat with plenty of viewing areas and information ongoing from marine biololgists who kept us informed of any possible sitings. Unfortunately we only saw 2 whales, I think September was a bit late and whales had moved on. I would very much recommend this trip but at a different time of year and also check the before that your booked trip is running.
