Doing what: Budapest Night Walking Tour and River Cruise
After doing a comprehensive day walking tour we wondered if we were trying to pack a bit much into our day. We were, but just as well as this was a great walking tour. Our guide was witty and informative and we learnt even more about Budapest in the quiet, cool evening as well as places to shoot a blockbuster! The chance to finish the evening cruising along the Danube was greatly appreciated allowing our legs to make the journey back to out accommodation.

Although we benefitted from there being only four of us on the tour, the approach and input of Petre was excellent in every way. The morning was invaluable in informing the rest of our stay in Budapest.

Great dinner and an awesome view of the buildings as we sailed up and down the river. Easy to find the meeting place and our guide was very helpful with any last minute questions. The weather was perfect so after dinner we all headed for the top deck and watched the scenery. The only part that was a bit annoying was the musicians came down from the stage and "strong armed" everyone for tips. Nice photos of our gang from the hired photographer on-board and not to expensive. All in all a wonderful time!

Kirga the tour guide, was very knowledgable, however with a thick Hungarian accent her english was very difficult to comprehend, and you had to really listen to her. This provided a better understanding, as you actually heard what she was saying.
The tour was good, with the sites and locations really worth seeing.
Word of warning, you need to be keen walker, as the hills and stairs in Buda were a challenge for even the guide.
The tour provided all metro pass tickets, and a "special surprise" which was a nice touch. Be sure to visit the bath room a the "surpirse" location, as the hand basin is something to write home about.
Thoroughly recommend this tour as a good way to see both Buda and Pest sides of the river.

we enjoyed this tour and would thoroughly recommend it - we did this tour after doing a hop on hop off tour of Budapest which allowed us to get orientated and would recommend doing this first to get your bearings - we were then able to see things in far Moore depth going into places that we had only seen from a bus- found the Guide to be very informative and very knowledgeable - the only down point was the climb to the top of the castle should be given the option of the rail or bus

Doing what: Danube Bend Day Trip from Budapest
Unfortunately we did the tour on a very busy, sunny public holiday. The trip seemed rushed. We could not visit Visegrad as the queues were long, fortunately we had not purchased entrance tickets.
Szentendre was very busy and perhaps providing a small map to participants would help as we were shown the main square and then wandered with a return time. Tickets were not purchased for our return boat trip so that delayed us in boarding. Our guide spoke Spanish and English and as an English speaker I found it difficult to understand her commentary. All of this may have been better on a quieter day.

We had an absolutely lovely time. Was very impresed with the table settings, how efficient the staff were and just everything about the trip. We had bought it for a friend for their birthday and he was thrilled with it. Would definitely recommend it and would certainly do it again. Thanks to all who made it such a brilliant night. This was excellent seeing all the sights along the Danube lit up. We only had drinks so can't comment on the meal but was worth it just for the trip.
