very good leisurely day out, Walking over the bridge between Hungary and Slovakia
was a good talking point and the tour guide was very informative.
Doing what: Danube Bend Day Trip from Budapest
Really enjoyed the day and was delighted to see some of the Hungarian countryside. Our guide Lazlo was good about providing info as we journeyed, and ensuring that we all saw as much as possible. It was also great to meet people from so many other countries on the tour (Russians, Brits, Canadians, French, Spaniards).

Amazing guide, nice restaurant where we had lunch. Great time and money investment if you want to get out of the city for one day.

Although all of the tour was by coach, because of the floods, the tour was still enjoyable and the guide did her best to keep everyone informed, taking those who wanted to around st Stephens basilica in budapest at the end of the day.

A bit long, would of been very nice with the boat ride back to Budapest.

This was very interesting. Visited 3 towns and the drive through the countryside was beautiful. Had a wonderful lunch on a high mountain side overlooking the Danube. Again no return trans from tour company to hotel but luckily we stayed at a hotel close to the river boat cruise and we hopped off in front of our hotel at the end of the trip.

The tour gives you a great feel for the surrounding areas of Budapest, plus the tour guides are top notch. I'd say the tour lives up to the description 100%

Unfortunately we did the tour on a very busy, sunny public holiday. The trip seemed rushed. We could not visit Visegrad as the queues were long, fortunately we had not purchased entrance tickets.
Szentendre was very busy and perhaps providing a small map to participants would help as we were shown the main square and then wandered with a return time. Tickets were not purchased for our return boat trip so that delayed us in boarding. Our guide spoke Spanish and English and as an English speaker I found it difficult to understand her commentary. All of this may have been better on a quieter day.

This is a great value trip visiting two contrasting towns outside Budapest and gives the visitor a chance to see some lovely Hungarian countryside. Full day out, run closely to time by a guide with excellent historical knowledge and impressive language skills (in our trip he translated flawlessly into French and English).
The only down side, beware the included lunch - not one passenger on the coach felt this to be good - needs upgrading to match the rest of the day. Thoroughly recommend the Danube Bend Day Trip.
