Meet Australia's weird and wonderful native animals at Cairns Zoo, a spectacular coastal drive from Cairns at Palm Cove.
From crocodiles and alligators to koalas, dingoes and red pandas, all manner of reptiles, birds and mammals, both native and exotic, are on show in this tropical wildlife encounter. Special wildlife presentations include crocodile feeding, koala cuddling, strolling with the wallabies and seeing elusive wombats up-close.
Stay on as night falls, and your visit includes a barbecue dinner at the Cairns Night Zoo and encounters with owls, possums and other nocturnal wildlife.
Dinner was very good. Had a good mix of other tour folks and it helped make the night even better. Loved the free pickup/drop off from the hotel. Lots of interaction with animals including the opportunity to hold a Koala and pet Kangaroos. If you like zoo's and want to see the animals up close, this is definitely the tour for you.

Cairns Zoo is 20 minutes north of central Cairns, in the beachfront resort town of Palm Cove. It’s 35 minutes south of Port Douglas. If you’re not taking a tour, shuttles run throughout the day from Cairns, and the local bus service stops right outside.
