New Year’s Eve Events in Cairo
As Egypt is a Muslim country, it does not celebrate New Year’s Eve on December 31. However, as Cairo is a tourist Mecca, western bars and restaurants–especially hotels and restaurants–will.

KitKat’s Swiss Club books an impressive line-up of DJs without the fancy dress code of some of the other clubs.

The large public gardens by Sakkara and Mariottia are other popular venues for the holiday. Often booked out by events companies, DJs, performers, full bars and other forms of entertainment are available here at a price.
