As kids, many of us American boys, at some point, held a certain admiration for comics. Whether your hero was Flash, Superman, Batman, or some of the lesser-known superheroes, the high-color art, flashy characters, and captivating storyline had our young attention. We lived in them for a spell, and were spellbound by their stories.
Then, after a while, comics somehow lost their luster. They became relegated to the boxes in our attics where we held onto them for sentimental reasons and maybe to give to our kids someday. At least that’s how it used to be.
