Highly recommend to everyone. Bring an underwater camera or buy one at the site. Also. you have to use all natural sun block that is also biodegradable or else the chemicals kill the fish. They sell the sunblock at the site as well. Has to be all natural + biodegradable. The Bus ride may be long depending on where you stay. Playa Del Carmen is close to the park so you if you stay at a hotel there the trip will be short.

This place is beautiful!! It's a little pricey but it's all inclusive. The water is gorgeous! I had a couples massage (not included) in the middle of the forest with humming birds around us that was wonderful. I recommend taking the shuttle to the beginning of the river, instead of walking. The walk is exhausting. Great day.

Very good and friendly quides,although they were not personal quides.They spoke both in Spanish and English.Xel-Ha was excellent entertainment and free food and drinks all day long !!

What your not told is that you will be picked up very early only to be driven to a shopping mall where you are given tickets and made to wait for 25 minutes whilst they sort out the transport for the second leg.
Xel-Ha is wonderful though - basically a lagoon in the middle of a jungle with lots of snorkeling and other activities. The inclusive food and drinks are excellent.
One of the best places to swim with dolphins.
I would go on the trip again but not with this company.

This is an excellent day trip from Cancun! I wish I had a little more time in both places. Tulum was facinating and Xel Ha was a lot of fun. The guid did a great job and assisted me in booking optional activities at Xel Ha.

This is a must xel-ha is stunning the view is out of this world and there is enough to keep you or the young ones occupied all day the food and drink are good. Tulum is very interesting and only takes a couple of hours out of your day worth seeing though if you like history .If i had one criticism i dont like dolphins in captivity.

Fantastic day out, great tour guide giving lots of useful tips i.e. where to eat at Xel-Ha!, the layout of the park and what to do. Also kept the tour on time explaining where to meet and by what time, and the reason for this for example keep ahead of the other tour groups, even explaining that any tickets taken at Xel-Ha can be purchase online for up to 6 weeks. The time at Tulum was just wright with enough time to get everything done and get to Xel-Ha for lunch and to get all the activities done. The guide Was also knowledgable about historic facts too.

The pickup at the hotel was about 30 minutes late and a lot of time was wasted getting people together assembled at the shopping mall and dispatching them buy groups to different buses. By the time we left Cancun it was past 9AM. If they can cut down on this time, we would have more time in Tulum where we had to rush.
The tour guides were excellent and did a great job of explaining and keeping us honest about the activities and the time.
This is must do tour which would have been totally worth but for the delay in getting everyone organized and assembled in the morning for the trip.

Our hotel pick-up was to be 7:15 am. At 7:40 a small van showed-up (not an ac coach). It went towards Cancun (not Tulum) and picked up more people. Then it stopped at a shopping center and we were told rather unexpectedly to go inside and wait with 150 other people (as this was the “meeting place”). We had to stand in a line to get our “tickets” (no one ever did ask to see them later). At 8:45 we were herded into four different tour buses. Our tour was to go to Tulum then Xel-Ha but it first went to Xel-Ha to drop off those not going to Tulum at all, and then went back to Tulum (at least 45 minutes wasted). Instructions given on the tour bus were extremely hard to understand because they were given back and forth in Spanish and English, but English with a Spanish accent still sounds like Spanish. At Tulum, in the parking lot we were told (for the first time) that it was a one kilometer walk from the parking lot to the ruins. An open-air shuttle bus takes people over that route (for a small fee) but our guide inferred anyone taking that bus was feeble and told everyone to start walking immediately. I am a senior and cannot keep-up for that distance but had no time for an alternative. We got back to our hotel at 8:45 pm (a 13.5 hr day). Tulum and Xel-Ha are great locations to visit, but not using this particular tour operator. Their disorganized chaos completely ruined the day.

Words can't even describe this tour. Amazing, awesome just don't seem good enough. A spiritual experience might come close. Highly recommend!!
