Doing what: Chichen Itza Day Trip from Cancun

The trip started badly due to no coach available. We were eventually sent in mini buses after spending 50 minutes in the heat whilst it was decided what was going to happen about transport.
The minibus driver did not speak English and we had no tour guide with us until we arrived.
The free water advertised did not occur and we were told to buy water from the driver.
Chichen Itza was good and the guide was ok until he started advertising souveniers at the end of the commentry. The cenote was interesting but not enough time to swim due to the travel mix up again no information from the guide.
The buffet lunch was good.
The worst part was the drive back to the hotel by a man on a mission he was driving at dangerous speeds 140km/hr and still using his mobile phone also did 110km in a 40 zone.
We did not feel safe as did all the other passengers in the minibus.
The trip was run by Cancun bay tours and was not up to the usual standard of a Viator trip.

Great day. Would have preferred visiting chichen itza in morning before HEAT of mid day. Lunch was O.K. Music was very LOUD!

Doing what: Captain Hook Cruise in Cancun

Both family friendly and adult friendly (open bar, and they do keep the drinks flowing!). Had a great time, and the pirates were very friendly!

A must do for all visitors to cancun. Journey is 3hrs each way but totally worth it. They will make 3 stops (market, cenote or underground caves, mayan pyramids)Tips, do not buy souvenirs from the Mayan market (overpriced significantly) and the hassle of having to negotiate. Just visit 'Mexico Souvenir' outlets nearby the hotelzone, walking distance from Coco Bongo. The shop has the best price, selection and all items are fixed price. They are way cheaper with proper shop facilities.

Doing what: Chichen Itza Day Trip from Cancun

was very pleased with the bus speaker and the tour guide. The site was magnificent and we were lucky not to have rain. Bus was comfortable.

Absolutely brilliant! Tulum is an amazing Mayan port with many buildings still virtually intact nestled on the edge of a magnificent beach. Our guide was Mayan and his love of his culture and its history was very apparent. Xel Ha is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to so even if you decide not to go snorkelling you can still enjoy the fab fish that swim right up to the edge of the water. The only slight negative is that the inner tubes are floating on a very weak current so they do stop moving or get stuck quite often and you need to really paddle with hands or feet. I would just snorkel or swim down the river instead. Loads to do from ziplining to cliff jumping to relaxing with a cold drink. The restaurants and bars are of good quality and the place is pristine. You could easily spend a full day there but 5hrs was just about enough. It is a must see!!!

Very entertaining, fodd average, but the worst thing was it was too long. 3.5 hours is a bit lengthy. The employees were great--funa and courteous. It was a good time.

5 points to a tour guide. Time for a self-tour was only 40 minutes, which was not enough...

Doing what: Tulum and Xel-Ha All Inclusive Day Trip from Cancun

A good day out.
Time was lost trying to pick up other passengers from a hotel that had been moved to another hotel when at that hotel their was no sign of them.(Cancun bay tours not organised)
The time at Tulum was good but very busy with other tours competing for space. The time at Xel Ha was about 5 hours but I would recommend an all day trip to this park as it was exceptional and not to be missed.
The food was also way above what I expected,First class with good service.

After a day at Chichen Itza I would have preferred less time at Tulum on a hot day, as the tour details overalpped a bit. Xel-Ha was amazing. Excellent value for money. All-inclusive was well worth it.

Be prepared for a long bus ride - the Cenote was impressive. The history of Chichen and the Mayans made for a memorable visit. Total trip time from pickup to drop off 13 hrs.
