Gerardo is the best guide I have ever had. Having taken 20+ student and adult groups to Mexico, Spain, Africa and Costa Rica, I have seen many guides. He is the best. He is knowledgeable. He relates very well to students and adults. He is flexible. He knows how to engage his listeners. He makes a lasting impression. I have gone on a tour with Gerardo twice, to Chichen Itza. He is a wonderful guide. I don't know if there is anyone as knowledgeable about Mayan Ruins as him. He truly loves what he is doing, and it shows. One of the times that we were at Chichen Itza, he was explaining what we were looking at, and little by little, other people that were not in our group, started wandering over into our group to listen to him. They were also intrigued by his knowledge and history of this wonderful place. That is a great compliment to his talent! I'm sure I will travel to Chichen Itza again, and I would not go unless I could have Gerardo as my guide! He AND Chichen Itza are the best!

Gerardo has been helping my family and I arrange special tours in and around Cancun for over 10 years. We met when I was looking for someone to take us to some birding areas in the Yucatan. Gerardo, working with Luis Ku, was one of the first tour guides to understand the value of birding and ecotourism. Subsequently, he has taken us to Sian Kaan, Muyil, Chetumal, Chachoban, Bacalar and other areas. A few years ago, I was hosting a reunion for some law school chums and asked him if he could set up a special tour to Chichen Itza. His tour (his wife led our group) was excellent. On one days notice, he also set up a special trip for one of my law school friends to Coba. This year, we are going out west to explore another part of the Yucatan peninsula. I have enough confidence in my friend, Gerardo, to be completely comfortable with whatever he comes up with.
