This was the best experience I have ever had. Beside the minor glitch with our pick up time, this was the perfect adventure. Our tour guide was friendly and well knowledgeable about the city as well as other places for us to visit. He took us to an authentic Mexican restaurant where we ate and drank until out hearts were content. The zip lining and atv rides were in the actual jungle and we rode as long as we wanted. He took picture for us to were able to capture the moments without having to keep up with our phone. I would absolutely go on the tour again.
It was a great tour. The tour guide, Freddie, was very knowledgeable. He used different visual aids to explain the Mayan history. His ancestry is of Mayan origin which made the tour very authentic. The early morning was well worth it. Everything went smoothly from the pick-up until the drop-off.
Had a great time, everything went smoothly, and being early there was very important, would recommend to everyone.
Punctual early start. Well organised pick up and transfer . Good transport.
Great guide - Freddy - very interesting and informative and helpful - and good humoured - - made the visit and gave us real appreciation and better understanding of not only Chichen Itza but also much broader Myan background and influence and their continuing role and legacy in today's Mexico and the Yucatan.
An absolutely wonderful day. Our guide, Carlos Moo, was friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions. Both ruins were very interesting and very different from each other. The swim in the cenote was refreshing - don't forget to bring a towel. A day well spent - highly recommended.
Chichen Itza is one interesting site to visit if you are in Mexico. The historical remnants are breath taking especially that these monuments were built years ago. I was very happy to have selected the Viator Exclusive Early Access to Chichen Itza with a private archeologist, the bus ride, this is because the day gets very hot. We got pick up at the hotel about 6am but its a shared ride so we started the journey about 6:30am. On entering the bus we were handed a breakfast package, the ride is about 2 hrs with 1bathroom break. Our tour guide FRANK and the driver were very welcoming. FRANK/FRANCO really knows his stuff, very informational and he spoke to us in English and Spanish
He educated and showed us all monuments. Also, you are provided with tickets.
We had a wonderful experience with Freddy as our guide. Getting up at 5am was worth it to get there early before all the other tourist buses arrived and the sun hover above. Transportation was smooth and on time. Highly recommended.
Freddy did a great job of providing us information not only during the tour, but also beforehand while riding on the bus.
Great information, and it was really beneficial going early in the day and beating the crowds.
The coach was very comfortable, so we had good sleep on the way despite starting early. the starting early part meanwhile was indeed important as it really got pretty crowded near mid-day. The guide also shared lots of interesting anecdotes about the place and Mayan cultures so overall it was very enjoyable.
Tour was GREAT and the Best time to go is early in the morning, its cooler and you get great pictures with nobody in them as we are the first tour bus to arrive. Freddy was also great and very informative. Definitely recommend this tour. Just do it!
This tour was perfect! Carlos, our guide, and Chano, our driver, were excellent and made the whole tour worth it. Carlos is very knowledgeable and was able to provide interesting facts but also keep us all entertained for the long day. He also is completely fluent in English and Spanish. We were a group of 16 people, and everything went smoothly from the pickup in the morning to the drop-off at night. Tulum is gorgeous and you get there right before all the crowds arrive. One really interesting thing is that the cenote visit (which includes lunch) is part of a co-op of families who own it, and part of the proceeds from this tour actually go towards those families and the upkeep of the cenote. Coba is also beautiful, but in a totally different way. Save your energy for climbing the pyramid. It's a long way up, but the view from the top is spectacular. A tip for future customers: it's a long day - there's no getting around that. Make sure to bring a snack for the morning bus ride, and additional water. They did have water on the bus, but it was an extremely hot the day when I went on the tour and extra water is always a good precaution. I'd also recommend a change of clothing, sneakers, flip flops, a towel, bug spray and sunscreen. You can keep things on the bus if needed. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Our guide Carlos was really friendly and smart, and kept us engaged during the tour. The trip to the cenote is a great break in the day because after walking around in the heat at Tulum, the cool waters of the cenote really help refresh you. But I think my favorite part was climbing the pyramid in Coba because of the views that you will see from the top. Great tour!
AWESOME TOUR! I WAS SO GLAD THAT WE WERE ABLE TO BOOK A TOUR WITH AN ACTUAL ARCHEOLOGIST. HE PROVIDED A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE TO THE RUINS AND MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE TOUR, GETTING IN TO THE PARK EARLY - BEFORE OTHER TOUR BUSES WERE EVEN ON SITE AND THE HOSPITALITY OF OUR GUIDE AND DRIVER. I WOULD TAKE THIS TOUR AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
Other than being told two different pickup times and having to wait for a couple that overslept, it was a great trip. Frank did an excellent job explaining. So glad we did the early access! Great pictures and no photo bombs!
Alex was an excellent tour guide. He was friendly and knowable. the driver I cant remember his name was an excellent driver. I had a lot fun and learned a lot. the only thing was that there was a confusion on where there were picking my up from which made a one hour wait to get picked up.
over all it was a great trip
Doing what: Chichen Itza Day Trip from Cancun
Very nice! Definitely worth the money and the tour guide, Merek it's brilliant!
Fantastic tour, guide was great with lots of interesting facts, certainly well worth the price. Unfortunately you're unable to climb the pyramid at Chichen Itza which is a bit of a let down. There is stacks of tourist vendors everywhere but thankfully the actual grounds seem to be well preserved as a historical site. The Cenote wasn't any good though, I'm sure it was once beautiful however has now been completely turned into a tourist attraction. The Cenote itself has been concreted including a platform and steps and has a massive cue of people lining up to swim in it, extremely unappealing. Also everything around it has been turned into either a restaurant, gift shop or car park however Chichen Itza is the main attraction and it is great.

Amazing tour with a super informative and lovely tour guide.
Doing what: Chichen Itza Day Trip from Cancun
This was a great tour. Our guide Frank was very knowledgeable and easy going. I'm so glad that we went early and avoided the crowds and some of the heat. Well worth getting up early.
We had a great trip to Chichen Itza. Freddie was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable and passionate about this Mayan site. Pack water, bug spray and good walking shoes, it is a big site. Bring a watch because our I phones updated to the different time zone and we ran late for the meeting place.
we got there before any crowds. we got picked up at 5am from the hotel so you need to be an early riser. but we got to Chichen Itza before anyone else so we're able to see everything without any crowds.
The engish tour guide is brilliant, so friendly and informative.
The lunchbox thats provided is just a ham and cheese sandwich, biscuit, banana and juice and water - so if you do not eat ham then id suggest taking something youself. a lot of the people on the trip ate the lunchbox for breakfast as it wassuch an early start.
The tour itself is amazing, the guide makes sure you get to see everything and have some knowledge about everything. he then gives you some free time before going home.
When we were leaving Chichen Itza there was ques of people coming in - it was starting to get so busy, it is well worth doing the early access tour so that you miss the crowds.
we got back to the hotel at 2ish so still had a full day at the hotel.
loved this tour.
not only did we see Tulum and Coba but we went to a real Mayan village and saw how they lived, and then swam and ate at the cenote. this was beautiful! the water was so clean and clear. At the Mayan village there was a shaman who gave us a blessing for eternal good luck.
The start of the tour started off badly, the tour guide seemed to speak quietly and babble on but it was because he had to speak english, french and spanish for everyone on the trip. But once he got to Tulum the guide opened up and told us so much history. I would highly recommend this tour.
The tour was wonderful. Lot of walking, definitely wear comfortable shoes. Bring water. The tour guides offer bottled water, but it's always good to bring extras.
This tour was great the guide Freddie and his Mayan driver were on time and very good . The tour bus was comfortable and the tour was first on site to avoid crowds and heat . The tour in English with Freddie and another guide in Spanish . A small bag lunch was provided .
An excellent tour .
