Things to Do on Isla Mujeres in Cancun

Just off the coast of Quintana Roo lies Isla Mujeres, a slightly less corporate alternative to the classic Cancun vacation. While it offers almost all the amenities of its more famous neighbor on the mainland, the island’s hotels tend more toward boutique properties than big resorts, with endless stretches of windswept beaches, isolated coves featuring small restaurants and good snorkeling and even a tiny Mayan ruin.
If you don’t stay here on the island, it’s still well worth making it a day trip from Cancun.
