Exploring the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town

The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is one of the most popular parts of Cape Town. This pretty district in the city center is full of interesting shops and restaurants, some tourist attractions and some of the city’s nicest hotels.
In 1860, one of Queen Victoria’s sons began building the harbor in Cape Town, and when it was complete it was named for him (Alfred) and his mother. It’s more known locally as simply the “V&A” Waterfront. From one side of the V&A Waterfront you get great views of Table Mountain.
