Comment from Laura
Puerto Plata is a popular tourist destination and cruise port located on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. One of the country’s top resort destinations, Puerto Plata is famous for its beaches, watersports and deep-sea sport-fishing (as fishing boats can be chartered from the port at Puerto Plata). If you only have one day in Puerto Plata, you can visit the city’s historic downtown area, enjoy the beaches or join a tour or shore excursion to explore more of the Dominican Republic.
