I enjoyed this tour as well. The guides were also very friendly and knowledgable. The bus was very comfortable. it was a great way to get to tour this region in a day.
This is a large group tour where you're on a big tour bus. Visit Mumms Cellar first which is ok. Then to Reims for lunch and small group tour of beautiful cathedral. Last stop is Moet and Chandon Cellars which is AWESOME. Best part of trip. You get to go down into the drippy, creepy caves and the tour guide at Moet is very professional. Overall fun and informative tour by Paris City Tour Group. Very much enjoyed!
Excellent trip with very informative guides. The added benefit of visiting the second Notre Dam in Reims was great as was the tour of Moet and Chandon. Plenty of time was allowed at each location. I highly recommend this tour to those wanting to "get out of Paris" and see some beautiful French countryside as well as learn something new.
It was a day we will never forget. We loved the private tasting at the small vineyard. Very nice for the owners to have us there and share how they make their champagne. Moet was interesting and the cellar was impressive.
An enjoyable day trip to the country. Maybe no need to do two tours of champagne winerys, that gets a bit boring, although the tour of Moet and Chandon was very interesting and informative.
An excellent trip to visit the Champagne Houses and city of Reims. Guides were excellent and Champagne Delicious. Group was a little large, and you only get to try 1 small glass of champagne at Mumm and Moet Cellars.
A good and easier option to take if cost is a factor and you don't want to do it independently as it visits two good Champagne Houses. The downside is that the commentary is provided in two other languages besides English and it is a large tour group - double decker bus. If you do it independently (by train which is possible), Moët offers a Grande Tour which offers tastings of three champagnes instead of one. Suggest you do a tour as a private or small group tour or do it independently.
This was a fabulous trip and highly recommended. The tour of the small champagne producer was particularly good and gave a great insight into the wine making process. Lunch at Epernay was very good quality. The Moet tour was very professional if somewhat formula driven. You didn't get to see anything of the wine making process although it was explained. Tasting at both places was good with the chance of having a glass of Moet a good way to finish the tour. Our driver/guide was not overly friendly but did know a lot about the region. The drive to and from Paris is through beautiful countryside. All up a very pleasant day
Pick-up point was wrong and we only by luck saw the sign on the window. Pricey- lunch should have been included. The two tours were almost exactly the same- could have done with one. Rheims Cathedral guide did a good job.
This was a fun tour, albeit very long! The tour of moet and chandon was beautiful and educational (if you already do not know about the champagne/sparkling wine process). We stopped over in Reims to see the cathedral (another beautiful site) and were given some of the historical context of it, with a long lunch to be had in the town (we were given a little over 2 hours and with lengthy casual european lunches you'll need all of it, if you go to a restaurant).
The only downside is that the stop at Mumm seemed a little too redundant and felt like they add it to add another stop to the tour. I would of rather shaved the 2-3 hours off the tour and skipped Mumm.
Our guides Katya and Claude were great. At Reims our party divided into two, and Claude was most informative and amusing!
A very enjoyable day.
Paul was an excellent guide. Picking us up at our hotel we joined 3 other people for our tour. The group was small and we quickly became friends. There was so much information packed into the 10 hours. 2 Champagne houses and a meal to die for. By the end of the day it was money well spent.
