Guide drove in silence for 2 hours to Reims and only spoke for 5 minutes as we entered the town. Luckily the scenery / lunch / moet tour were fantastic! Drive home was scary - 30km over the speed limit the whole way while cutting off and swearing at other cars. An interesting/fun day... Would do again!
Very disappointing we were informed once on the bus that we were not going to any of the listed vineyards of Moet or Mummes, I only booked it to see them, instead we went to other smaller growers. They would of known if closed over the Xmas holidays.Should not of been available these days.
Really enjoyed the tour!!!
This tour is very professional and most informative. The caves are really interesting. Would highly recommend.
Good tour, tour guide was very good, really enjoyed the trip, seeing both wineries and stop for lunch (took her recommendation-good restaurant) only weird thing - both the 'talks' we were given at Mumms and Moet were the same!! - they could have been reading from the same book - but overall good
Tour guide was very knowledgeable but often overlapped with exactly what the venue operators had to say. The vineyards were great but there was a lot of "filler" time where we were left on our own to do as we liked. Overall a nice day but could be filled with more substance.
Excellent day. It was a great oppourtunity to see rural France. Well orgasnised. I would recommend taking the time to enjoy it.
Had a fantastic day, the scenery was beautiful and the champagne was even better!
This excursion was by far one of the most enjoyable of our trip. The driver was very knowledgeable about the region as well as about producing champagne. Because it was in the fall the colors of the region were fabulous. Our first visit was to a smaller local wine producer. This was a much better tour than at the larger company we also went to. If I had a preference I would have rather gone to another small producer. Overall we were very glad to have taken this day trip to see some beautiful countryside as well as some great champagne.
Beautiful weather and tasting champagne. I learned a lot of about champagne. Lunch break was near the Notre Dame - Reims, which is beautiful! My only suggestion would be if we could've tasted more varieties, only one option at each was provided. I would have sacrificed volume for quantity, to compare. But still great.
the best trip
Paul was a great guide!
Our driver / guide was Fred. He drove well, was informative, funny and involved. He was excellent. The Champagne region itself is beautiful and this trip included all the parts I wanted to see. Two tastings were almost sufficient. The smaller maker (Dauby) was a highlight. Lunch was good, but instead of serving Bordeaux and other wines, why not serve champagne and showcase how flexible it is? We are in champagne on a champagne tour after all. I highly recommend this day trip from Paris.
