We had a wonderful time on this tour. It was our first trip to the Champagne region and we learned so much from our tour guide as well as from the different vineyards we visited. Lunch was excellent and our tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. We wouldn't change a thing!

Our guide was a viticulture educated wonder. So knowledgeable about the region, the history and the process of making champagne. The tour was a good mix of large wineries (Moet and Chandon) and two smaller ones. The lunch our guide provided was one of the best meals we had in France. My wife and I liked the fact that there was just one other family besides ourselves on the tour. We felt we could always ask any question we had. I would highly recommend this tour. – Greg Finn, Sacramento, CA USA

This was a great experience. Was able to see the extremes of the champagne process very small to very large with amazing caves that were used a long long time ago. The guide was great, she was able to explain and provide the history of the entire region. It makes for a long day as the travel is quite long in the van, but well worth it, great champagne tasted and then purchased what we liked!

YOU MUST DO THIS TOUR. Honestly, the amount of champagne you drink is not an issue - there's heaps!!! It's the professional approach and learning experience you receive from the tour guide (in my case 'Guilame') that makes the difference. This guy was superb. It wasn't his mastors degree in 'champagne making/tasting' that increased my faith in the tour, it was his rapport with the small group that did it for me. He was only ever too happy to impart his knowledge and in a way that showed his aptness as an instructor. The lunch was perfect in terms of its size and its 'match' for the several champagnes that we 'felt obliged' to consume. If you've got 12 hours to kill, this is a perfect way to do it. Although, if you're like me, as soon as you hit the Champagne region, you'll wish you hadn't stayed in Paris for as long as you did!

Our driver / guide was Fred. He drove well, was informative, funny and involved. He was excellent. The Champagne region itself is beautiful and this trip included all the parts I wanted to see. Two tastings were almost sufficient. The smaller maker (Dauby) was a highlight. Lunch was good, but instead of serving Bordeaux and other wines, why not serve champagne and showcase how flexible it is? We are in champagne on a champagne tour after all. I highly recommend this day trip from Paris.

This excursion was by far one of the most enjoyable of our trip. The driver was very knowledgeable about the region as well as about producing champagne. Because it was in the fall the colors of the region were fabulous. Our first visit was to a smaller local wine producer. This was a much better tour than at the larger company we also went to. If I had a preference I would have rather gone to another small producer. Overall we were very glad to have taken this day trip to see some beautiful countryside as well as some great champagne.

We had a wonderful tour of the Champagne region! Our tour guide, Frederick, was excellent -- very personable and knowledgeable -- and great at navigating his way in and out of Paris and around the countryside. We enjoyed a stop at Reims cathedral -- it's extraordinary, especially the Chagall stained glass windows. Then it was on to a tour and tasting at a small producer in Ay -- Pierre LeBeouf. Absolutely fabulous champagne! We learned a great deal about the process of making champagne, what terms such as "Grand Cru" mean, etc. After a fun lunch with our group in Epernay, it was on to Moet and Chandon for another tour and tasting. The tour, even with some rain along the way, was just fantastic and our group of six provided great company. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you can get Frederick as your guide! This tour was a highlight of my trip.

We had an incredible day in the Champagne Region. Our guide was on time to pick us up, and was extremely friendly and informative. We were able to visit the incredibly beautiful church in Reims and then visit one of the many small Champagne Houses in the morning. The owner was very friendly, and the champagne was excellent. Then we were treated to a very nice lunch in a quaint restaurant, complete with a couple bottles of wine. Then we spent the afternoon touring the area of the larger Champagne Houses, followed by a walking tour of Moet and Chandon, including their vast caves. A tasting completed the tour. We never felt rushed, and had ample opportunity for photos and even a visit with a member of the local chamber who gave us additional information on the growing and harvesting of the champagne grapes. We would highly recommend this tour for any lover of champagne, or just as a fun excursion into the French countryside.

The tour guide was excellent. Not only did she speak 3 languages, she was also very knowledgeable about Champagne and the region itself. I think going to the family run champagne maker and a large corporation like Moet was also great to see the contrast between the two. Both places gave us a very thorough understanding of the production of champagne making. I would highly recommend this one day tour if you want to get out of the city and see a bit of the country side.

We had an excellent day on our tour of the Champagne region. Our guide was excellent and provided an interesting and informative commentary. The itinerary was well planned and we enjoyed both the tours of Mumm's and Moet and Chandon. The double decker bus was comfortable and provided a smooth ride.

The "Champagne Region Day Trip from Paris by Minivan" was a lovely experience. The minivan was comfortable and the driver (Stan) was very carefull and polite. We visited a small champagne producer and were hosted by the granddaughter of the founder. There was a very interesting explanation about the process to make champagne and after that the tasting. We had lunch in another city (Eperny) and after that took the guided tour at Moet and Chandon. The experience of getting to know a small producer and one of the largest producers was very rich. For sure We will drink champagne with much more respect from now on!
