The object of booking this tour was to enjoy a day in the Champagne houses. The tours of Mumm and Moet and Chandon were very good and their guides very informative. However, we were rushed at the end of each house tour and could not fully enjoy the glass of champagne offered. Unfortunately, we found the tour guides on the coach to be curt and bossy. They lacked warmth. We chose to book this tour through Viator because in the past we have enjoyed your recommendations. As a contrast a tour we undertook to Napa Valley California was much better with much nicer and happier tour guides.

This tour was excellent - slightly tarnished by the snarky tour guide
A double Decker bus took 3 tour groups (different languages) through tour de France country.
Mumm cellars was informative - as was the tour of Moet and Chandon. I loved the way the Moet and Chandon lady spoke
Reims cathedral was interesting
We had free time for lunch - bought a baguette and picniced by Reims cathedral, we went into a nearby shop and bought a bottle of champagne and plastic glasses to properly savour the environment,
Champagne tastes great in Champagne!

Our recent day tour was absolutely fabulous we all enjoyed it very much, it was everything we asked for and more. The whole eperience, the guides were extremely frinedly and very knowledgable. It was a gift for our freind and she loved it. thank you and we will definately recommend it to others.

Loved the entire experience-picturesque countryside,expert commentary both from the guides on the coach and at Mumm and also Moet and Chandon. The process of champagne production blew us away and the sample glass of 'bubbly' at each champagne house was most enjoyable and very welcome! The visit to Reims was also great as we inspected the wonderful Cathedral and we also had time for lunch and some retail therapy! I have no hesitation recommending Viator as the operator is prompt and reliable.I certainly will book with Viator on my next hliday.

This was great but just a long day. It's good the way they organize the stops though. It first takes you to the Mumm winery, then drive to Reims where you see the cathedral and have lunch, and then ends at the best stop, Moet winery. Very good even though the info at both wineries was essentially the same. It takes a while to get there and back, but the tour guides were great and well organized.

Educational, fascinating, beautiful. I highly recommend. What could be better than a guided trip to Champagne Country? I guess the mini-van trip could've been a bit more convenient, but for the savings, this was well worth the extra effort.

Well planned excursion. Fascinating countryside and comfortable bus ride. We found the larger buses to be more comfortable than the small group minivan trips available. The Mumms tour was excellent with a delightful guide. Very informative and everyone got to see and hear the guide. The Moët tour was disappointing, too many people for one guide, not enough seats in the little theatre, didn't hear a fraction of what she had to say and we spent the whole tour with the guard present to ensure people didn't get lost. Thank god that Mumms came first because by then we knew something about champagne as Moët was extremely poorly managed. Very cool wine caves though and worth doing despite the inadequacies of the guide and tour. Found a gorgeous tea house in Reims and had the best quiche ever. The Caesar salad was also to die for. The food in this cafe was the best France had to offer and cheap, especially when compared to the very expensive restaurant in Paris. If you do this tour then find this cafe, it's sensational and makes getting your own lunch an absolute delight.

A good tour. The only thing that kept if from being 5 star tour is that both vinyards visited were mega-producers. I would have loved to visit a large scale operation but have the second visit be with a small time outfit being guided by a worker in dirty jeans showing the hard work that goes into producing the raw materials for the Champagne and providing the grape juice for the houses. The two houses visited: Mumm and Moet were very professional tours (Maybe a little too professional) and were obviously put together by a marketing team. All that said, the cellar tour at both locations was very impressive if not a bit redundant. Well worth a trip out of the city if you are there for at least a week.

a very enjoyable day trip especially if you appreciate a good champagne. The day was well paced and provided enough time to see everything. The information provided at each winery was informative if somewhat the same.

Visitng 2 large Champagne houses was probably a bit too repetitive as you are taken through the same information and process at both. The bus must have had 80 people on it - I didn't realise this at the time of booking and so it wasn't quite what I was after.

We had an excellent day on our tour of the Champagne region. Our guide was excellent and provided an interesting and informative commentary. The itinerary was well planned and we enjoyed both the tours of Mumm's and Moet and Chandon. The double decker bus was comfortable and provided a smooth ride.
