Doing what: Copenhagen Card
The Copenhagen Card was so worth it!! It saved us a lot of money. Most everything in Copenhagen and outlying areas are covered or at least discounted with the Copenhagen Card. I had heard mixed reviews about whether it was worth it or not. It cost my husband and I $70 (USD) each on a groupon special. Entry into Tivoli alone was $25 (USD) each. This covered all our train travel...to and from hotel, up to Fredricksborg Slot, Roskilde. It covered the Canal Tours in Nyhavn, Fredricksborg slot entry. The only attraction we had to pay for was the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, and the Carlsbert Brewery. Very small price to pay, considering our transportation was all paid for. I would highly recommend this card!! It made it so much easier for visitors. Just in convenience alone. Copenhagen is a great city. We loved every minute of it. This was our starting off point for our 14 night cruise throughout Northern Europe. We stayed 4 nights at the Crowne Plaza, Copenhagen. Great location and hotel. Train station is a 2 minute walk. Very easy access to everywhere. Can't wait to visit again.

Doing what: Copenhagen Panoramic City Tour with Tivoli Gardens
A great tour that captures the sights of Copenhagen and gives context to this wonderful city. It is a great starting point to find out which sites you wish to visit with more time in the following days.

Doing what: Copenhagen Panoramic City Tour with Tivoli Gardens
It wasn't the tour guide or driver's fault but the disruption caused by the extension to the rail service meant that many roads were closed and detours meant we had less time at each place. Many of Copenhagen's buildings were also being renovated or maintained which meant we didn't see them at their best. We got to the changing of the guard too late to get a good spot for photos. The English Church and Little Mermaid were highlights - maybe because the sun peeped out of what had been a rather grey wet day. A good itinerary at another time of year!

Doing what: Copenhagen Card
Everything that I said about the Oslo card is also true of this city card with the exception of to need to trail into Copenhagen city centre to find the tourist office and redeem the voucher. This office was very busy and operated a ticketed "slot" system to see a member of staff and this wasted about half an hour of our precious time in Denmark added to the time that it took to get from the ship to the city centre. If there is a tourist office at the airport perhaps the authorities might be persuaded to have a temporary office open at the cruise ship berths when a ship is in port (just like Oslo). Otherwise no complaints and once again we got good value from the card.

This is great value and so worth buying. The trains, metro, buses and harbor buses are so easy to use and efficient. The free entry to a lot of the museums came in handy too.
