Doing what: Gibraltar Sightseeing Day Trip from Costa del Sol

fanatastic trip. st michaels cave is beautiful and the monkeys made the day.

Gibraltar is a beautiful place well worth the trip and money

For the price and the convenience of transportation directly to and from Málaga, not the mention the guided tour up the Rock, this trip was definitely worth it. We didn't choose to go on the optional dolphin-watching cruise because dolphins simply aren't abundant at this time of year. A lot of other reviews complained about the amount of time it took to get to/from Gibraltar because of having to stop at each hotel along Costa del Sol, but I thought it wasn't too bad. Besides, it was neat seeing all the cities in between Málaga and Gibraltar, not to mention being able to stay alongside the sea for most of the drive. I am recommending this tour to everyone in my study abroad program.

It was both beautiful and a lot of fun. St. Michaels cave was fascinating and much more than I imagined. We were well prepared for the "monkeys" and enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the ferry.

It was a very long drive as we stopped to pick up all the tourist along the way to Gibraltar. The tour of Gibraltar was good.

Doing what: Gibraltar Shopping Tour

The pros - Gibraltar is lovely, excellent for duty free and worth a visit.
The cons - The bus took 3 1/2 hours to get there from Torremolinos by the time we had made all the pick up stops, so we got to Gibraltar at midday and we had to be back on the coach at 4pm. Booking it as the shopping tour, you basically just get the bus fare included and that's it. We were dropped at the bus station but not given any map or directions of where to walk to the town, which is a 10 minute walk each way to the square. We just about had time to do the cable car ride up to the rock, lunch and a quick look around the shops, which actually closed at 3pm on a Saturday.
Summary: Whilst we had an enjoyable afternoon, it was a rush in the 4 hours we had there. More information would have been appreciated.
Tips: Do not go on a Saturday as the shops close at 3pm. Get a map from the tourist office for free rather than paying £1 out of the machines. If you are not an independent type of traveller, book this trip with the rock tour etc included. Finally if you want more than 4 hours in Gibraltar, consider other options.

Good trip. Picked up from hotel on time. Took quite a while to pick up all the guests from surrounding hotels but once we got to Gibraltar, we enjoyed a mini bus tour of the rock before visiting St Michaels cave and getting close and personal with the monkeys! Enjoyable overall.

The tour guide was very hard to understand. His English was good but he spoke too fast and not clear. He was also very unfriendly and very unorganized. He did not give us much information about anything. He wasted a lot of time making walk to and from the bus for no reason. When he left the tour, he did not even say goodbye. He just got off the bus. We were hoping we would get back to where we needed to be since he acted like we weren't even on the bus anymore. However, the tour guide we had on the Gibraltar rock tour was wonderful.

When I phoned to confirm my booking, I was pleasantly surprised by the news we would be picked up at our hotel. We were collected punctually and thoroughly enjoyed the pleasant drive to Gibraltar, enhanced by some interesting facts from our guide. The Rock itself was awesome, matched only by the enthusiasm and wit of the minibus driver who took us right to the top. We also saw the enthralling caves before having an excellent lunch in a local bar. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and we were one happy couple when we were dropped off at the door of our hotel. A memorable trip and well worth the money.

Doing what: Gibraltar Sightseeing Day Trip from Costa del Sol

A very good trip, the local guide in Gibraltar was knowledgeable, witty and helpful; the tour guide from Julia Tours was more of a manager than a guide but was also very helpful and supportive. The loss of a star is because the pickup time was not followed and the coach arrived at the pick-up point in Estepona 25 minutes after the time specified. Nevertheless we enjoyed the day.

What we saw was good, but was really disappointed when I found out that the tour wasn't going to take us to the top of Gibraltar this was the main reason I took this tour. If I had known this I would have skipped seeing the monkeys and caves and took the 20 minutes walk up the road to the top.

Doing what: Gibraltar Shopping Tour

Guide not as pleasant as last year told pickup was 8 45am guide came and got us from breakfast at 8 35am told us that we were late and pickup was up the road we had only been on the coach 5minutes and stopped for a toilet break in the dirtiest garage/cafe with toilets so disgusting you couldn't use

Quite interesting, but the pickup from different hotels was very unproductiv.
The time in Gibraltar was too short.
The guide was very anonymus, and he spoke very bad English.

The tour itself was pretty good. The bus ride was a little too long. Maybe the pick ups could be split into two separate tours. Also, maybe consider adding a tour for folks who don't move so well. Quite a bit of time was wasted waiting for people to load back on the bus.

Good tour, spent too much time on the bus picking up others for the tour, so plan on that if you take this tour but enjoyed the time in Gibraltar and had some free time to explore on your own.
