The tour operators were excellent. Well organized, safety was key. Really alot of fun. Well worth it.
Wished it were a little longer - only about 20 minutes in the water. We stayed in one place for half of the time while the operators brought sea creatures to us. We would have enjoyed cruising around longer. Should be 45 min. to be perfect.
This is an okay tour if it's your first time in Cozumel. I have been to Cozumel many times before, did this tour cause I thought it would be something different. It was good, but I wasn't blown away by it. Jeeps were very old. Lots and lots and lots of driving around. First stop was Punta del Sur which was a very nice park. Didn't see the crocodile. Was probably off tanning somewhere. Water was way too cold for snorkeling. Very nice beach area. Then off to the tequila tasting, which was a complete waste of time. All they do is try an sell you tequila. Then around 3:30 (local time) they bring you back to the hotel where they pick you and they include a lunch. Wish the lunch would have been allot earlier. After driving around all day, all I wanted to do was get back to the ship. On the plus side the meeting point is easily located next to the Royal Caribbean Pier. The Carnival pier is a little bit further.
very bad disappointing didn't see the Maya ruins and we when to the beach we was not in the schedule etc
Juan, Omar, and Daniel were fabulous. My friend and I were the only two on this tour and we were made feel very special. After speaking to other people who booked tours on the Cruise Ship, we certainly got the best value for money and the longest trip.
So the tour starts off with snorkelling... it was very good, some colourful fish, but if you've been snorkelling in proper places before, don't expect too much, it was fun though.
Then 'Mexican Lunch'- its a buffet in a hotel poolside bar. Just ok.
Then the buggies, not as state of the art as I had imagined, but a lot of fun, and we got to drive for what seemed like an eternity.
The mayan ruins were not ruins, it was a traditional house, a little stange if Im honest, but good to see, and then the beach was AMAZING....
This was well worth it, wish I could do this trip all over again.
This is my second time using Viator for my excursions. I was disappointed with the description of the excursion. There are no "Mayan Ruins" to see. They take you to a authentic looking building, talk about the Mayan history, and a woman inside speaks "Mayan" and prepares a snack. The snack was delicious. The history was interesting, however, we were lead to believe we would see "ruins". The tour guides, Juan, Omar, and Daniel were very helpful, friendly and interesting. None of the instrument gauges or the horn on our buggy worked. We were able to stop at a nice beach area and swim for 30 minutes. Then drove on around the island back to the hotel, walked to the snorkeling, and had a very nice Mexican lunch buffet. Well worth the money, but I would have given the rating five stars if we hadn't been led to believe we were going to see "Mayan Ruins".
This excursion was cool but not as cool as I expected. The main reason for that was that it was super short. We only spent about 2-3 minutes actually driving the mini subs under water. The rest of the time they chain you to an underwater rope in about 10 feet of water and take pictures of you. They bring sea urchins and other creatures to put in your hands and take pictures. So more than driving a mini sub this excursion is an underwater photo shoot. There wasn't much to see there underwater, maybe that's why they do the photo shoot. The other drawback they don't advertise is that you don't go deep at all. You are hooked to a buoy so that the deepest you can go is 10 to 15 feet and they control your depth. The photos were an extra $30 to purchase. The entire experience lasted about 25 minutes. Way too short for the price paid in my opinion.
Awesome! Jose and Bobby were both great. We have already referred some friends to use them who are going to Cozumel in the coming months. We truly enjoyed ourselves.
The jeep tour was very fun. The hotel where the tour began is just a 2 minute walk from the international pier. We were under the impression that we would be driving the jeeps through the jungle, but it's just driving on highway for a bit and once you get to the park you drive on a flattened dirt road. Although it started raining as soon as we left town, our guide was very helpful in putting up everyone's roof. The beach where the snorkeling took place was nice and secluded. We had a good hour of snorkeling. The Mayan ruin is tiny; don't expect anything taller than one story. Although it was small, the history behind it is interesting. The guide also provided water, but any snacks along the way were extra. The chicken fajita lunch at the end of the tour was delicious. We had plenty of time to enjoy lunch, browse some shops, and head back to our ship.
Tour guides were wonderful, very friendly and entertaining. Self drive buggies were awesome but there should be warning before purchase for people to be aware all these buggies are manual and not automatic.
Also need more time on the beach. Food was good but we didn't have enough time to eat
Great tour guide! He was really knowledgable and caring. I personally don't know how to swim, he explained step by step about how to snorkel. He also swam and held onto me the entire time. The tour in cozumel was awesome with great information of maya culture!
The tour guides were lovely, but the buggies were manual gear and very uncomfortable. There was a lot of driving and not much to see. The Mayan ruins were a pile of rocks. The snorkelling was cancelled due to s strong current. Waste of MONEY!!
Jorge and Rudy were excellent guides and very patient. Kept us feeling safe. Snorkeling was awesome! You have to get the fresh guacamole and chips at the seaside restaurant where you snorkel. Awesome experience.
The jeep excursion was amazing and the snorkeling was unbelievable. David the guide did a great job explaining all stops and was great with the kids during snorkeling. If you have the time it is well worth the price.
My family and I enjoyed this excursion more than any other on our vacation. We used AllPro Tours, and the tour operators, Hernan and Roberto, were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They were also very focused on our safety, both when we rode the Segways and when we were snorkeling. They were able to quickly teach us how to ride the Segways and they let us practice in a large parking lot prior to us riding to the beach. When we got to the beach, they instructed my kids, my wife and I on how to snorkel, then Hernan took us to all the places where we could see some really cool fish. All the equipment we used on the tour was in excellent working order. We had a blast and would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore Cozumel.
