As stated in the address, Crete’s aquarium is located on the edge of a former U.S. Air Force station. There is a beach nearby to create a full day of activity. Its tanks fill over 2,500 specimens from over 200 species of fish in the Mediterranean.

Make sure to explore the Open Sea Exhibit, which house sharks, greater amberjacks and sea basses. It is also a complex of Mediterranean reefs and is an education on reef life. The Shore Life exhibit area showcases seahorses, anemones, octopuses, Mediterranean morays, lobsters and dozens of species from the Eastern Mediterranean and Greek waters. The Multipurpose room presents documentaries about the marine ecosystem and is used for seminars, exhibitions, lectures and events. On site, you can also find a restaurant/snack bar and a souvenir shop.
