The Dominican Republic is the second-largest country in the Caribbean and covers an area of more than 18,000 square miles (46,619 square kilometers). It’s one of the most popular Caribbean resort destinations with more than 40 miles (64 kilometers) of tourist facilities, luxury hotels and all inclusive resorts stretching along the country’s southeastern coast, including the famous Punta Cana.
