The tour group was small so the tour guide was able to give us a lot of backgroup information, trivia and cultural information. The guide was very considerate and very knowledgable. VIsiting the Blarney Castle was amazing!

The tour guide Dave was amazing!! He gave a full range of history on our tour and was all round a great tour guide and bus driver! The city of cork and Blarney castle were both amazing to see and I would recommend anyone going on a tour to take this one!
Doing what: Blarney Castle and Cork Day Trip from Dublin
The tour of Cashel, Cork and Blarney was wonderful. The tour was provided by Extreme Ireland and our driver/guide was Dave, who was extremely knowledgeable and provided a history of Ireland throughout the day. At Cashel, the chapel is currently being renovated but the site provides great photo opportunities and the town provides nice shops. Blarney castle and grounds were breath-takening. Be forewarned that if you go into the castle to kiss the Blarney Stone, the stairs are numerous, narrow and slick if it rained. The tour was on a Sunday so when we went into Cork, most shops had not opened if they had Sunday hours at all.

Great day out on all levels. Very friendly, informative guide and a comfortable coach. Wonderful views from Blarney Castle and a real adventure getting to the Stone. The Gardens are a fantastic site with the Poison Garden truly fascinating. Quick stop in Cork and time for a really tasty coffee at Cork Coffee Roasters - watch the world walk by...

Blarney Castle was very interesting to see and the grounds of the castle are very beautiful. There is even a small cave you can go through right next to the castle! There is great shopping and great food where the bus stops before your on your way to the next city! If you have time you should take this day trip.

The trip to Blarney Castle was great but really could have spent extra time vs going into Cork. While Cork is a nice city the time spent there was only for shopping and was a waste of time as the shops weren't unique Irish shops.

The first part of the tour to Blarney Castle was good but the trip to Cork was a waste of time. Our guide was not familiar with Cork and it was a bank holiday so all the stores were closed.

We took 2 day tours by train and this one was the best. Traveling by train is the only way to go to see the beautiful Irish countryside. The day was beautiful and the grounds at Blarney Castle were to die for. We loved exploring the castle and especially kissing the Blarney stone. Touring the cathedral and museum at Cobh was fantastic. We really liked our bus driver and tour guide as they really enhanced our experience and made the day fun.

This was a great trip but wish there would have been more time at the Blarney Castle and let time in Cork. The part of cork that you see is just shops and no real history.

The bus driver was great, very entertaining. The Blarney Castle is something to be visited. Absolutely beautiful. I thought the tour would be guided and we were really on our own. Enjoyed walking the grounds but was hoping for an explanation of the history, etc...disappointed with visit to Cork. Not sure what the purpose of this stop was. I would have rather gone somewhere else. Most of the day was spent riding in a bus.

The trip was amazing. Our bus driver Mike Murphy was a great host. Enjoy the day.
This was the BEST TRIP!!! We have been on this trip several times with different tours and this was by far and away the best. The Tour Director and bus driver were very accommodating and knowledgeable about this part of the country. The Titanic exhibit was quite an experience, to relive that last port-of-call…., the English market in Cork, the Blarney castle and of course the woolen mills shopping. The tour director took the time to meet and visit with each person on the trip making it a person trip with him and your group (Dave) was WONDERFUL going above and beyond to make this a special trip for everyone. We would book this trip again.
