Doing what: Connemara and Galway City Day Trip from Dublin

This tour was fabulous. Our tour guide was patient, knowledgable, friendly and made our day tour interesting and fun. He was helpful and was happy to do anything he could to make our day an enjoyable one. This tour showed us some spectacular sights in Ireland and no visit to Dublin would be complete without seeing this lovely area of Ireland. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks for a wonderful day.

The trip went off without a hitch - perfect weather (not that the tour company can do anything about that!) On the train, we had reserved seats - which was very nice. On the outbound trip, the train was not busy, but the route back, the train was crowded. The tour guide on the route back was excellent - giving us ideas for our remaining days in Dublin as well as pointing out that the tram would save us a cab fare while taking the same time as the taxi. The guide on the island was excellent - with his wit and humour.

The area was beautiful, Galway was a fun vibrant city to explore. Our driver was very informative when we finally convinced him to talk. The mic in the bus was not working so we did not get any sort of a commentary as to where we were going and what we were seeing. When we stopped at a site the driver was informative when asked however it was too bad we were not able to have more dialogue during the long bus ride.

Very well organised this trip by train and by coach which gives the opportunity to visit a strange and beautiful county

I was afraid the day might get too long, but it wasn't bad at all with the new motorway heading across to Galway. Connemara is a wonderful, rugged part of Ireland, and no trip to the Emerald Isle would be complete without visiting the west. We had dreadful weather, but still a fun time. You will, of course, be in the bus for a great deal of the time, but it was broken up by fairly frequent stops. We had nearly two hours at Kylemore Abbey and a full hour in Galway to explore. And our driver, Bud, was very friendly and fun.

This was a really excellent day . Very professionally managed. Our guide, Jeff, was very well informed and his enthusiasm for both Powerscourt and Glendalough infused the group. On a fairly cool and windy day the entire participants climbed the trail at Glendalough for the amazing view. We traveled in what seemed to be a very new Mercedes bus. Very comfortable.

This trip was great! We were making good time, so our driver was thoughtful enough to make a few extra stops. He was very knowledgeable, and the boat ride in the fjord was beautiful. Even my 11 year old son enjoyed it. I definitely recommend this trip.

Beautiful view of Ireland. Train ride is very comfy and scenic. Kylemore Abbey and gardens are well worth seeing. Wish we had more time to check out Galway.

Connemara is a beautiful area to visit. The mountains are beautiful and it's fun going around on the scenic roads and being able to see the farms. Just watch out for the sheep - they do have the right of way in the streets. This was my first tour in Ireland and it was definitely a great tour to start with. The tour guide was great - very professional and very knowledgeable.

Doing what: Connemara and Galway City Day Trip from Dublin

the time in Galway was unfortunatly too short

This was the best tour I have ever been on. The people who worked for Viator were friendly and very accomidating. You will not be disappointed with this company.

I would like to share a personal experience. My tour took a short flight to the Aran Islands. By the end of the day the fog had rolled in and we could not fly off the island. The tour group booked us passage on the ferry back to Galway. We missed the train leaving Galway returning to Dublin becasue the ferry was slower, however once again there were no worries for us because the tour group put us directly on the correct bus back to Dublin.

You cannot control Mother Nature, however Viator took control of the cards that were dealt and ensured we arrived back to our original destination completely safe.

I will always use this company in the future.

It was a lovely day, the driver (Mike) was great and certainly knew his history. I would highly recommend this tour as it offers an opportunity to see the "green" of Ireland. We asked to be dropped off in Galway instead of returing to Dublin-we (and our luggage) were accommodated and the driver even dropped us to our hotel at the end of the tour.

Highly recommend

We had a very small group but Ger was a great guide. Gave us lots of great info and was extremely flexible and accommodating, and knew where to stop for the best photos. We had a great day and loved the trip!

Beautiful countryside and a great guide but not enough time to really enjoy Galway.
