Doing what: Hluhluwe Game Reserve Safari

This gamme reserve is a lot more rugged than Pilanesburg. And much further from Durban than Pilanesburg is from Johannesburg. So we got back almost at 8.30 pm after leasing at 6.30 in the morning. The guide was well intentioned but like most guides they are on a mission to spew all they know! Had to reign him to the job at hand several times. Did not see many animals. Worth doing if spending a night there!

A good intorduction to Durban. Wish we had spent more Time in some of the museum stops rater than spending too much Time around the old harbour! The Ushaka Marine is fantastic for the vides and fun expécially if you have kids but thon you would not do it on a day trip. Funny guide shared our bunny chao even though we had paid for 2 tickets, saying that was 2/3. Bizarre.

Doing what: Mountain Splendor -The Kingdom of Lesotho

This was a great trip it does take 12-14 hours and the road is rough, but the scenery is wonderful you feel like you have been transported to another time when you reach Lesotho.

Doing what: Shakaland - Zulu Cultural Center

This is not where the Zulu live, but the old TV setting from a 1980's TV series. The Zulu guide we had was joking and acting, not as educational as this could be with proper guide.

Just wonderfull, the driver picked us up on time and was very friendly. The city tour amazed us. Thank you very much for everything.

Doing what: Shakaland - Zulu Cultural Center

Perfect nothing to be signalled, beautiful and interesting excursion

One of the most interesting travel experiences of our lives! - opened our eyes to how the shepherd tribes of Lesotho live. The travel up to almost 3000m is over beautiful mountainours landscape, many photo opportunities. The guide was very well informed and friendly.

Doing what: Hluhluwe Game Reserve Safari

Long trip from Durban gave us an idea of the agricultural economy of SA - sugarcane and eucalyptus farms as far as eye can see. Beautiful landscape of the Reserve, we saw zebras, giraffe, elephant (1), water buffalo (1), rhinoceros only from very far, some other animals as well. No big cats - February is not the best time. Very pleasant and friendly, well informed Zulu guide.

Doing what: Hluhluwe Game Reserve Safari

Driver drove too fast during the trip to and from the reserve and did not observe village speed bumps. The safari though was exciting.

Doing what: Mountain Splendor -The Kingdom of Lesotho

I highly recommend this day trip from Durban, it's not as scary as you might read elsewhere and get in before they tar the Sani Pass. The Viator staff I dealt with via email were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Doing what: Hluhluwe Game Reserve Safari

I loved going to to Hluhluwe. It was a long drive there, about 3.5 hours from Durban but we spent over 8 hours just at the game reserve, it made for a long day but it was amazing. Our driver was very nice. We saw only 3 of the big 5, but we saw lots of the buffalo and rhinos. We saw many beautiful giraffes and zebras. It was great how close they get to the cars. I suggest paying the extra for the open game drive, it was worth it. If you only have a short time for a safari, this is perfect for you. I would recommend this tour and the company.

Fantastic trip. The journey up was great and the guide really good. And at the top in Lesotho was superb too. Well worth doing if you're ever staying in Durban.

Doing what: Mountain Splendor -The Kingdom of Lesotho

The drive up Sani Pass was beautiful!! We rode but the pass is a Land Rover and it was a lot of fun, going down was a little sketchy in parts due to the clouds that rolled in but I felt completely safe with our driver. The driver was really nice and funny so it made the drive entertaining. We visited a small Lesotho village, I suggest eating the bread! It was very tasty. We ate lunch at the higest pub in Africa and it would have had a beautiful view if it wasn't so cloudy. I suggest this tour if you want to get out of the city and see some beautiful scenery.
