We were able to climb to the top of the ruins of Kilchurn Castle, which would have been an island when it rained hard enough. The view is breathtaking!

The Approach to Kilchurn Castle

Our tour included a visit to Kilchurn Castle, a ruins dated from the 1450's, that figured prominently in the history of Clan Campbell. The approach was about a half-mile walk via a path through a meadow filled with grazing sheep.
