Had a really great day with Rabbie's Trail Burners and Jonathon the tour guide was excellent, friendly, entertaining and informative. I think I had a smile on my face the whole way there as such beautiful scenery, I have been around Scotland and in the Highlands twice but this was something else! First stop was Loch Lomond for some photographs, then a stop at Loch Tulla and then Glencoe. I have never seen Glencoe look so beautiful, black mountains net to sunlit mountains covered in snow and shrouded at the top in mist, so atmospheric and great for photographers. Then on to Fort Augustus for lunch and on to Loch Ness where some folk to a boat ride but I went with the tour guide and others to photograph Urquhart castle. We stopped off in Pitlochry for a wee dram and then came back via Aviemore and the Cairngorms, saw Stirling castle lit up in the distance and back to Glasgow. I am not one for long journeys but this was a breeze, it didn't feel one bit long at all, I enjoyed the whole day immensely. I will put some photographs up soon :)
This tour was amazing! It was great to see that much of Scotland and our tour guide Nicola could not have been better!
The scenery is impressive and the tour very well organised. Our guide Pete was fantastic in giving infirmation, driving, joking, creating the tour soundtrack and singing.
This trip was AMAZING and so was our guide Emily she was knowledgable, pleasant and did an excellent job with the tour. Highly recommended this tour to anyone who has not been to the Highlands or for those who would like to revisit.
It was a great tour which I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to get a taste of Scotland.
Exceptional tour!! Words can not do this tour and this company justice. We were a small party of 5 and so had a bit more freedom. I went in the winter, which was wonderful got to see the Highlands in the snow, when Inverary castle is closed for tours. However, we you can still drive up to the property and get fantastic photos to fulfill all Downton Abbey fans dreams. I think what made it especially wonderful was our tour guide Gus. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. He invited all inquiries and I threw everything at him, history of Scotland from Jurassic to modern history he knew it. Also, if you're concerned about weather don't be, Rabbies has it covered. We drove through the snow with safety and ease. When we stopped for a picture at Kilchurn castle several other Rabbies tours that had faced greater weather restrictions had been promptly re-directed so that they could see as much of Scotland. I felt that I had ample time at each stop and simply communicating with your tour guide in my experience will help them to tailor the trip to everyone's enjoyment. I highly recommend this trip and will be using Rabbies again.
We had a great time! The trip was exactly as described. Our tour operator told us plenty of stories relevant to Scottish history and the places we visited. Definitely recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see a Scottish castle, hear some Scottish history, and take in some of the gorgeous Scottish landscape!
super .. gr8 for one day trip.
Great trip and our guide was the nicest guy!!
Totally recommend it.
We had a great time on the tour - a lovely tour leader and interesting young people from many countries. Our guest house in Inverness was wonderful - spectacular views and a great location. The scenery along the route was beautiful and the history fascinating.
My husband and I had an incredible time on this tour. I had been to Scotland previously and had taken a one-day highland tour with a different company. This time around was so much better! Getting up to Inverness was one of the highlights! We loved our tour guide and our small group! The capital of the Highlands is a fantastic place that we'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Scotland. The B and B was absolutely lovely after a long day on the road. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Thanks so much Al!!!!!
Great tour guide. Fantastic way to see some beautiful parts of the country.
Excellent tour that fit in two very interesting locations in Scotland. There was enough time to enjoy both Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond - even though it sadly rained all afternoon and we couldn't go for the planned walk. Instead, we drove along the Loch until the end of the road, where a few of us braved the rain for 10 minutes to get some photos. The time allowed for lunch in Aberfoyle was also a good length of time
People who enjoy Scottish history or castles should definitely take the chance to visit Stirling Castle; I thought it was more interesting than Edinburgh Castle.
Our tour guide was very interesting and knowledgeable about the area and Scotland in general, as well as doing an excellent Sean Connery impersonation and serenading us with some Scottish classics, such as 'Flower of Scotland' and ' Loch Lomond'.
It was me and my dad. The tour guide was John and he was the best.the tour was very nice and really worth trying. I highly recommend it!
