Top Places to Eat and Drink in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is not all haggis and whisky, there’s a lot more to this city that is full of musicians, writers, students and festival goers. Here are a few of the best:
1) Café Royal Circle Bar (19 West Register Street, EH2 2AA)
This bar has been here since 1863 and the ambiance of history, stained glass and ceramic murals makes it an experience as much as a bar.
2) The Witchery by the Castle (Castlehill, Royal Mile, EH1 2NF)
For a good meal in an evocative space, head here where there are two dining rooms: one dark and Gothic, the other a Secret Garden. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it for the historic setting – and the delicious food.
