Fantastic.
Our guides were Alex and Julien (we were in Alex's group) and they were great. Went out of the way to accomodate the needs of all of the hikers, very flexible.
The stair section to get up to lunch wasn't terrible, and the main section of the hike is completely at your own pace, with free time at the end of the hike in the northernmost village, Monterosso.
This was a GREAT option for us because we only had the 3 days in Florence, and with transport in and out, it was a great way to save time and see Cinque Terre, which was my favorite part of the trip.

The best tour of our lives!
Both our tour guides (Julien and Alex) made us feel confortable and taken care of the whole tour. Thanks so much!!
Cinque Terre is an amazing place to go to, and has the best views we've seen on our journey. The walk is long, but we had enough time to do it at hour on pace and no one rushed us. Also, even if it was hard to do (which it really wasn't, imagine one of us did it with a sprained uncle), the views we saw along the way kept us going gladly.
The tour was perfectly organized, fun to do and TOTALLY WORTH IT!!
Please, if you ever have the chance do it for yourself, it'll be a nice treat!

This day was one of the highlights of our 3 week visit to Italy. We really wanted to visit the Cinque Terre, but did not have time to fit it in other than on this day trip from Florence. Our guide Chris was very friendly and energetic, and made sure everyone was coping with the hike. The weather was not the best, a bit cold and very windy, which meant that we did not get to do the boat ride. Instead though we were treated to a local wine in a cafe on Lovers Walk which was a lovely substitute. The walk wasnt too strenuous but we were a little bit disappointed that we only walked 2 of the 4 sections, but overall, a lovely day and would definitely recommend.

A long day but very worth it.
dispite bad weather and a rough sea trip the villages were just as beautiful as expected.
Be warned the drive to Cinque Terre was over 2 1/2 hours in each direction

A highlight of my recent trip ,made especially enjoyable by the wonderful guide Stefano who made it exceptional with his knowledge and good humour.
It was one of the best tours I have ever done and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.
Though 12 hours sounded like a long time ,it went very quickly as it was such fun!!!
There were options along the way if one became tired of walking..... so don't be put off by the word 'hiking'. Some small sections of it were a little tough but well worth the effort.
Stefano is a treasure to the guide industry and Cinque Terre should not be missed!!!!!!.
I think this tour group should be encouraged to do more tours from Florence

Doing what: Cinque Terre Hiking Day Trip from Florence

Amazing tour! Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. A great way to get away from the crowded cities and museums and enjoy the scenery and feel rejuvenated after an invigorating hike. Make sure you bring your walking shoes :) Alex, our guide, was fantastic! He gave us very interesting information about the sites and had a great sense of humour when we kept asking how much more climbing we had to do :) Alex was very knowledgeable and made the whole trip run smoothly. I'm so glad I got to see Cinque Terre with Alex and a group of other very cool 15 people from all over the world. Unforgettable experience!

It was a great intro to Cinque Terre which has some beautiful scenery but the tour could have done with a little more free time exploring the villages (although some were still affected by the floods and we didn't stop it them) since there was still a couple of hours daylight left after we finished the tour.

Loved this tour. The guide group are fantastic and really look after all age groups. Informative, well organised tour with great views on the bus trip. Once at the Cinque Terre tracks, you can take a train to some towns rather than walk the trails if you have health issues. Most of the trail is fairly easy going however some of the steps up to Corniglia can be a little exhausting however this is where we stopped for a fantastic 2 course lunch overlooking the ocean. Final stop and indulge in the wine tasting of local white wines which is the areas specialty from each of the townships before catching the ferry boat back which again is lovelly to see the townships from the sea side great photo opportunities. Fantastic day out, met so many lovelly people.

Doing what: Cinque Terre Hiking Day Trip from Florence

Loved it, the weather turned it on for us. We started the day off with a bus trip from Florence to the Cinque Terre and the day was a mix if train rides, hiking and eating a lovely lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. My travelling companion is not as fit as me and struggled on the 382 steps and climbs. There could have been better rest breaks for those less fit. Fabulous day and Stefano our guide was was informative, knowledgable and very entertaining.

An excellent tour with top notch guides, both knowledgeable, articulate, well prepared, very attentive and determined to make sure every body's needs were met and that everyone had a good time. The tour itself is very well run and well organized. It's a full day and you see and do a lot. Cinque Terre is a very unique experience and I would highly recommend doing this tour, especially if time is at a premium. Really enjoyed the hike which was a bit of a challenge but well worth it for the views. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I wouldn't change a thing!

Let me first say how WONDERFUL our guide was on this trip. Not only was he a wealth of information about everything we passed during the trip, but he also cares very much about the comfort and well being of the people on his tour. I feel tourists should know that this tour involves an approximately 2 hour drive from Firenze to the Cinque Terre in each direction. Also, due to a landslide last fall, you will not see Vernazza on this tour, contrary to the description. We lucked out, as the other people scheduled to be on the tour with us cancel the day before. This resulted in a private tour for my daughter and I! Our guide gave us the choice of stopping in either Luca or Portovenere in place of Vernazza. We chose Portovenere and it was amazing! It's an upscale Cinque Terre and I loved it! The Cinque Terre is beautiful, but it was our guide that made this tour so wonderful. It was a rainy day, and he bought my five year old daughter an umbrella. He made sure to have the car ready and waiting for us so as to avoid getting wet. When my daughter reached for his hand to walk the streets, he didn't mind at all. Our guide is a pure class act. We invited him to lunch with us, during which he told us all sorts of knowledge of regional Italian foods and wine. The next time I go to Firenze, I will be directly contacting the tour company and requesting our guide. Grazie mile for such a wonderful day. This was by far the highlight of our week in Italy, even with the rain.

Doing what: Cinque Terre Hiking Day Trip from Florence

Cinque Terre was my favorite tour of Italy by far. It's absolutely beautiful, and I really enjoyed this your becuase we got to see all 5 of the cinque terre towns. The set up of this tour was very thought out, and one of my favorite parts was the 2 hour hike from Vernazza, which gave us breathtaking views. Alex our guide was very down-to-earth and friendly.

A simply indescribable experience! Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The views and sights are just amazing. A well-planned well-thought out tour that showed us the best of Cinque Terre.

Our guide, Claudio, was congenial and knowledgeable about Cinque Terre. We had to take a train to the various villages, but due to a problem (not his fault), we missed going to the fourth village of Caroglia. To make up for our error, on the way back he took us to Portovenere, another lovely seaside town with a wonderful medieval section. It was a perfect day!

My mother and I had a great time on this trip! We enjoyed the beautiful hike from town to town, with unbelievable views of the blue sea and colorful homes dotting the hills and coastline of Cinque Terre. What made the trip was our unforgettable guide, who was young, fun and energetic, constantly running back and forth making sure we were happy. He was able to connect with the young and the old and everyone in between and he made it such a fun day!
