A very good overview, perfect introduction. Visiting the Bargello when many places were closed on Mondays was an excellent idea.

Wonderful! Scenic drive into the mountains. Great views from the mountaintop. Good way to get a feel of the city before you head out on your own.

Good tour. We got a great overview of Florence in just a few hours. Of course, we saved a lot of time, too, with the "skip the line."

Very convenient entry to Uffizzi and Accademy and wonderful views from the Piazza Michelangelo. Some excellent commentary along the way including in the galleries.

Doing what: Florence Half-Day or Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

There is so much to see and do in Florence that there is a danger of missing some sight or treasure because you were unaware of it. The Viator tour ensured that the tourist saw everything, including the outlying hill town of Fiesole, where the view of Florence was remarkable. Specialists in Renaissance art and architecture formed the team of tour guides who introduced the treasures of the city; and the use of head phones in the crowded, noisy areas ensured that the tourist was able to hear every word of the commentary. The tour was also a nice mixture of bus ride to the more distant sites, and walking tour of the city lanes and squares.

A good tour! Good guides. If we were to do it again, I believe we would of just done the half day tour. We saw all we wanted to see in the am. Over all I would recommend at least doing the half day. We loved Florence especially the views from Piazzale Michelangelo which was part of the am. tour.

The views from Michelango Piazza above Florence were magnificent. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about ancient Florence and did a good job of describing it.

This was a great tour. The bus was air conditioned. The view from the overlook of Florence was excellent and the walking tour was well done. The visit to the Galleria was ok. The tour explanation was way too long.

Doing what: Florence Half-Day or Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

We did the full day tour because we were only there for the day. It is a lot to take in, and you don't really get to go in the Duomo or any church, which is kind of too bad. The views are very nice. Going through the Accademia and Uffizi is great, but from my perspective, as a non-art aficionado, it took a lot of time. I personally do not need as much detail on the sculptures or paintings as was offered, but it was definitely interesting, and the guides were quite knowledgeable. Most time was spent in the art galleries and getting to and and looking at the 2 views of Florence, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, which are definitely great! I wish I could have crammed more in! As well, the guide graciously waited for some people who were supposed to join us for lunch and did not bother to tell us they weren't coming. Lunch was tasty, if a bit lacking on the protein.

I think the full-day tour provided a good overview of what Florence had to offer, and I was glad that I did it. I learned a lot about Florence in one day; maybe a bit more than I bargained for. The included lunch was okay.

If you have a limited time in Florence, then this is an awesome option, as the tour will take you to the two most famous galleries the Accademia and the Uffizi. You will also have a good stroll around the streets of Florence, passing by the main landmarks, as have a quick drive through Fiesole with gorgeous views of Florence on the way.
