amazing experience walking up the 400 steps was quite hard but views brill
Is one of those things you have to do if you are in Florence, definitely Yes!
Loved this tour! Seeing Florence from the top of the Duomo was breathtaking! The stair climb was fun, although there were some very tight spots! Especially with other tours coming down while we were going up. But to see the dome fresco so close up was well worth the climb.
Outstanding tour, wonderful views, and excellent tour guide!
Very worthwhile! Skip the massive line, backstage access, very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Overall, a very good value.
Bennedetta was the best guide ever! Super nice and extremely knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is in good physical condition and is NOT claustrophobic in any way. You are climbing 463 steps of carved stones in very narrow stairwells that get smaller the higher you go. If that's not a problem, it's well worth the physical effort when you reach the top and the journey down is nothing.
Probably the best thing we did in Florence.
Very nice small group of 6 people. Guide very warm and interactive, as well as knowledgeable. Excellent English skills. On the climb up to the top of the dome he made sure we could keep up and kept us together through the crowded places. The gelato at the end was a great touch.

Wow! What a great tour. I did the tour on Sept 12th. The meeting point was easy to find. Only a short 5min walk to the Duomo. Our guide was Vanessa. She was very knowledgable and informative, without giving us too much information. The walk to the top of the Duomo is not easy, but if you're reasonably fit, you will get there. The steps are small and the area is confined. Sometimes you have to wait on the stairs whilst people coming down have to pass. The climb is well worth the effort. A bonus is being able to access the Terrace mid way through the climb. The views over the city are great from the top, and there is plenty of time to take it all in before the decent. The close up views of the paintings inside the Duomo are unforgettable, and the guides help in interpreting them is very helpful. To top it off after the Duomo tour there's a look inside the Baptistry next door. Overall, a great afternoon.
We loved this tour and our guide so much. She went over and beyond to relate the history of each location and the art. Ending with gelato was an inspired choice too!
Gabriela was wonderful! Her passion for her town engaged all of s! The tour was well organized and timely. We will remember it forever! We took the time to locate the meeting p,ace ahead of time. Good thing because it was difficult o find.
A long climb up, but so worth it!
From the outside the Duomo is awe-inspiring. The interior is much less so. But from up-close, both inside and outside, the dome is incredible. Even without knowing the creativity required to build the dome, its size, beauty and height are impressive. The 360 steps, often narrow and dark, are not a big problem, as our guide stopped often for rest and photos. We got to go outside to view the dome and Florence from a unique vantage point. Our guide was informative, funny and encouraging. Overall this was a great and inspiring tour.
The only down side is trying to find Segway HQ to meet the tour guide. It would have been easier to meet at the Duomo.
Very informative guide. Great being able to skip the long queues.
Had a really great afternoon, tour guide was very knowledgeable and good fun. Not having to stand in the long queue is worth every penny with the bonus of getting to visit parts of the Duomo that normal tickets do not get to visit.
Would recommend this tour to all :-
Outstanding guide - informative, watchful of the group and good insightful comments. One of the high points of our trip to Florence. Although the climb was at times very crowded, the guide was experienced and brought a real calmness to the group.
What a brilliant addition to our trip this adventure was. Our tour guide was excellent, delightful and very very knowledgeable, not only about her city, the church as in building and religious practices, the history of this church and the dome but she could also answer some of the more obscure questions asked by the engineers and architects that were in our group. Skipping the queues was a bonus as was getting into some of the lesser frequented parts of the building and finishing up with gelato was a delight. All up a brilliant experience and in my books at least, the ONLY way to see the church and the climb the dome!
Great tour! Very interesting and informative. Beautiful views from the top! Money well spent!!!!
Great tour. Great friendly guide.

I will certainly recommend this tour for all the fitness fanatics. It is certainly not for the weak at heart, but the views from the top of the dome are spectacular. Go for it!!
LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE! I've been to the top of the dome before without a tour guide and this was definitely worth every penny. No standing in line AT ALL! Our guide took us to parts of the Cathedral that were off-limits without a security escort including a balcony just below the dome where we saw truly unique views of the architecture and the city. It was a highlight of our trip. My teen daughter enjoyed it as much as I did. REMEMBER to cover your shoulders and knees for the first part of this tour! We had to buy shawls at the last minute.
This is a great tour. We had access to portions of the church that weren't open to the general public. Our guide, Cristina, was wonderful.....friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. The views of Florence from the dome are breathtaking! Book this tour and request Cristina as your guide!
