Doing what: Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour

The trip was simply fantastic. Our tourguide, Michelle, is very good. The tour was on-time (the whole day) and Chianti, the tower of pisa and Siena was as good as could be. This tour is definately worth every sent.

I HIGHLY recommend this tour if you are in Florence for 2 or more days! Walk About, the Florence's local tour agency who does this day trip, is absolutely awesome! Very well done! Sandra was our lovely tour guide and she ROCKS! Thanks Sandra for your knowledge, excitement, and thoughtfulness! Siena was lovely. Be ready to be taken away by the incredible gothic cathedral. Lunch at the organic farm near San Gimignano was TO DIE FOR (it was heavenly--the views, the wine, the food, the staff, the whole experience)! The town of San Gimignano felt like I was in medieval times. Be sure to climb one of the ancient towers (only 5 euros)! Then, Pisa! Do pay the extra amount to climb the tower. It is worth it! You can totally feel the leaning once you start getting up the top. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

This was the best tour ever! It is an excellent way to see the surroundings of Florence in just one day and without feeling rushed. The lunch at the organic wine farm was amazing and the landscapes combined with the wine generated a feeling of bliss that I will never forget. Siena with its crazy Palio race and breathtaking duomo, San Gimignano with its beautiful narrow streets, high towers and the best gelato EVER and Pisa with its famous leaning tower and its atmosphere filled with art and science are a must see! Our tour guide Stefano made the trip interesting and fun, he was always making sure that everyone was having fun and making the most of the day. I feel that his amazing energy and sense of humor had a lot to do with the beautiful day that we all enjoyed on the gorgeous Tuscany, he brings the sunshine! :)

A first class trip to Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa stopping for lunch at a organic farm with a good lunch and wonderful wine ( from the farm ). The tour guide, an English lady married to an Italian was excellent. The whole day was very well organised with enough time at each stop. It was good value for money and is a must if you are spending a few days in Florence; it gives you a wider perspective of Tuscany and its long history.

This is a Fabulous Tour! Don't miss it! Other than it being a long day (8:30am-8:30pm), this was pure fun and fascinating !! You start with the adorably, beautiful town of Siena, then tour Toscana with a nice lunch and all the wine you can drink from a working Italian Ranch and Winery. the pasta was delicious!!!--after that, it's off to San Gimignana which is a must-see town! Its a cute little medievel town with clock towers and beautiful cobble-stoned streets. Then it was off to the Leaning Tower of Pisa which was the best part of the trip for me! Buy the Pisa "climb" ticket and do the easy walk to the top! Unbelievably Magnificient! But the best part of this tour was our incredible tour guide, Chris. He had to be one of the sweetest, kindest and most informative people I'd ever met on a tour like this. He was beyond Fabulous and I recommend asking for him by name. He gave us the exact right amount of alone-walk-time combined with group touring. He was simply sensational!! I loved loved loved this tour and know you will too!!

Sandra was a delightful guide, giving us excellent history lessons and showing adeptness to the various questions, comments, and even silly humor of all the varied tourists. She made our trip! Her knowledge and skillful explanations made the trip interesting and satisfied our curiosity. Siena‘s beauty was a feast for the eyes. Down the road, the organic ranch turned out to be a wonderful excursion where they served a delicious meal and the experience has made us determined to put them on our itinerary next visit to Italy. The country side was truly “breath-taking”. San Gimignano was beautiful and the horses’ track with it’s quirky history was a curious novelty. Pisa was an out of the ordinary experience and climbing the tower gave a spectacular view of the extended area. Even Alberto our amazing bus driver showed a dexterity and proficiency on the tiny roads with hair-pin turns. He made you feel safe and secure even though your eyes were shocked at where he had to maneuver the bus. We went on the Monday after the terrific snow storm. Whether it was loud, honking drivers or difficult terrain, Alberto was steady and smooth. The long day was worth it all.

This trip was amazing. The sponsor, Walkabout Florence, and especially Agatha, our guide, were a font of information, and the entire day was amazing. We started in a comfortable bus, heading South our of Florence, with a narration of the area and history. We first visited Sienna, then a wonderful lunch and tour of the farm/winery, then through Chianti (seeing the 3 types of land in the area), to San Gimignano and Pisa. In each place we were given a tour and then allowed time to explore on our own--I highly recommend hiking to the top of the walls in San Gimignano and trying some of the award-wining gelato in the city's piazza. The organic/local lunch with wines was amazing and in an ideal setting; so much food and wine that my table could not finish it all! I would definitely take this tour again, as well as the Cinque Terra Trek offered by Walkabout Florence. A wonderful day in the heart of Chianti...great for people of all ages and mobility.

Doing what: Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour

I don't usually book sightseeing tours as they are usually overpriced. However, after reading this one I decided this was very good value for money and would fit it much more than I would be able to do on my own. I wasn't disappointed. From the beginning we met just outside the main train station, the bus left on time and we headed off to Sienna. Our tour guide, Sandra, was great, she was very informative and humourous on the way to all of our destinations. She was also very organised and everything ran like clockwork the whole day. Sienna was a beautiful city and worth visiting. From there we went to a lovely Tuscan farmhouse for a totally delicious organic lunch with ample supplies of wine. The scenery was also outstanding and from which we could see San Gimigniano which was our next destination. This was a beautiful hilltop medieval village with fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside. Our final destination was to Pisa, which is well worth seeing. There was quite a lot of travelling on the bus but this was actually also enjoyable as the scenery was breathtaking! I would fully recommend the trip and Viator was much cheaper than any other website for the tour also!

Doing what: Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour

My wife and I and two friends took this trip on April 20th, 2011. It was a beautiful sunny day and the day got even better as it went along. Our tour guide was a young local lady called Sandra. Sandra was a first class guide, was well organised very funny and really helpful. The visit to the farm for dinner was well worth it especially the four course lunch with a different wine to taste with each course. The Tuscany rural area was beautiful and we had some extremely nice views from the walls of San Gimignano and the terrace of the farm dining room. We had pre-boocked tickets for the Leaning Tower of Pisa which was worth it to avoid delays. The 12 hr excursion run was worth every penny and I would strongly recommend it and we could not have wished for a better guide than Sandra. Grazzie mille Sandra and driver Sergio.

This trip was the highlight of our short trip to Florence as apart from the fantastic lunch, wonderful Sienna , Pisa countryside of the Tuscan hills and the very helpful Chris our tour guide it gives you a break from the "well what shall we do today dear" and the day just unfolds into a stress-free and glad to let someone else make all the decisions as sometimes a holiday can feel like a job working out where to go and see what etc.

I was quite happy to be a tourist for the day. Would recommend the trip to anyone wanting to see a lot in a short time but you don't feel herded in any way. The highlight for me was Sienna it is unlike anywhere else that I have visited. Well worth the money. Sandra and John, from Reading UK

this sightseeing tour was well organized by the company. we spent an amazing, beautiful day in sienna, san gimiagno, and pisa. the scenery was breathtaking. our lunch at the winery and sampling of the wines was the icing on the cake. we went back to rome and told every tourist we met, that this was a trip worth every single dime. my husband and i were extremely satisfied with this tour. we have beautiful pictures of us with vineyard in the backround, eating grapes, drinking wine, and of course at the leaning tower of pisa.our tour leader was excellent. she managed the group extremely well. she was friendly, knowledgeable, but serious about time and where to meet. every one complied. this was a great way to see cities outside florence

Doing what: Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour

My wife and I took this tour on our visit to Italy for our 10 year anniversary. This was one of the highlights of our overall trip. Seeing the beautiful towns of Sienna, San Gimignano, and Pisa were captivating, and our lunch at the Tuscan farm was incredible! For everything we saw, did, and tasted, there was no way we could have found a better deal, or managed to do all of these things on our own, in one day! I know, because I had planned the intinerary for the rest of our trip, and tried organizing our own trip through Tuscanny. The logistics of trying to travel through the countryside in a foreign country, try to find all of these places, as well as parking, (because many Tuscan towns don't allow cars), and learn all of the history would have been daunting. This tour takes the stress out of it all. They have good connections with the locals to help you really get the feel of the area. They also have insights as to the best places to go, and views to see, that really capture the heart of Tuscanny. From all the research I did before our trip, this tour was even more affordable than it would have cost my wife and I, if we would have done everything on our own. Just the entry tickets to the buildings we visited, and the lunch, where we got to have so many wines, justified the price of everything we did. Our tour guide Becky, spoke excellent English, as she was actually from England, but because she married an Italian and lives in Florence now, she was a wealth of local information. Definitely a must do tour for anyone who wants to experience the flavor of Tuscanny!

The tour was absolutely excellent. The lovely Becky looked after us so well, giving us just the right amount of information and tips. Siena first, which was gorgeous. We were then taken for the most beautiful lunch in an organic farm. 4 delicious courses accompanied by 4 delicious wines, sitting on a sunny terrace, overlooking the olive groves and vineyards, with the towers of San Gimignano in the distance. Unforgettable - Absolute bliss! San Gimignano followed, which put Siena in the Shade. And finally, a trip to Pisa to see the leaning tower. Initially I thought 99 euros per person was on the expensive side, but it was one of the best day tours I ever took and I felt I got very good value for money. Full marks for this tour - I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone.

The Best of Tuscany tour is a must for anyone who wants to venture out into the beautiful Tuscan countryside and see more than just Florence. The tour takes you to Siena with a great look into the famous square and Paleo race, to San Gimignano with its medieval skyline and to of course none other than Pisa with its not so straight tower. Half through the day we had a memorable lunch break at an organic farm. There, fresh pasta and meat mixed elegantly with fantastic Chianti and Vernaccia with beautiful rolling hills in the background. Add to all of that Claudia, our guide, who spared no effort in providing information and making us feel comfortable throughout the day, and you have yourself one of the best days of your trip. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take a day and discover Tuscany. There are simply no better ways.

My husband and I booked this tour with our friend based on recommendations through TripAdvisor and we had a wonderful time. Our guide was extremely helpful, genuine and enthusiastic. The tour was very well organized with just the right number of stops and time for each sight. We had wonderful lunch at a Tuscan farmhouse that was included with the tour and it was one of the best meals we've had in Italy. We also pre-booked our Leaning Tower of Pisa tickets through Viator.com which was great because there was no way we could've climbed the Tower without advance tickets. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this tour to others as it is really the only way to see all the major sights in Tuscany in a day without a car.
