I really enjoyed this. The guide was excellent. It was a good thing to do on our first day in Florence because it gave us an overview of the city. Read your Medici history before you go and you will get a lot out of this walking tour!
tour cancelled but company offered alternative bus tour which was adequate but not as satisfying as the walking tour I had done previously
Being fashion students, we enjoyed the time. But we were expecting a lot more "Fashion information" It was more like here are the fashion items we have in the area museums. The guide will take you there. Done
A great way to be introduced to a beautiful city so rich in history and culture. It is a wonderful way to learn interesting details and unknown tidbits that about all the beautiful sights that are everywhere you look
The guide William was very lovely but his English really wasn't adequate to be giving a guided tour in English....he was definitely enthusiastic though. The tour was an excellent quick way to introduce you to Florence, I would make sure next time you ensure the guide is fluent...better still we actually tracked down an Aussie living in Florence (Freyas tour of Florence, ie Freya middelton). We also booked her for3 hours, more expensive but definitely worth it for those who have a good knowledge of art, renaissance history and wanting someone to make Florence come alive!
An excellent way to start our first visit to the city.
Our guide not only showed us the main sites of Florence but also one two that we would never of found on our own,
This was one of the best parts of our trip. The guide was very knowledgeable, providing interesting tidbits of information, history and stories as we walked around. I would do it again the next time in Florence!
An excellent guide and well-paced walk to all of the major sites in historic Florence made this a perfect walking tour for all ages .
This didn't work for me. It was done in two languages (Spanish/Engilsh) and was not audible. I dropped out after about 10 minutes as the only English speaker.
Guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the sights and sites of Florence. We had the god fortune of having very small group (just 2 of us for most of the time) and so had a very personal tour. Guide did not rush, spoke excellent English and allowed plenty of time for conversation and questions. A map of our route and the features we saw would have been helpful being newcomers to Florence. Would strongly recommend this tour, early in your visit as it is helps to orientate the visitor to the key attractions.
