Doing what: Chianti Region Wine Tasting Half-Day Trip from Florence
The Chianti region tour was a nice experience. We were able to visit one of the outer regions of Florence with beautiful views. The trip to the castle was fun, and it had a lovely charm. I could have used a bit more wine tasting in addition to the tour itself.

Doing what: Chianti Region Wine Tasting Half-Day Trip from Florence
The scenery, history and winery were all fabulous. We learned a lot on the trip and were in awe of the beauty of the Chianti region. We were, however, disappointed in the actual wine tasting bit of the tour..since we're not amateurs and we only had a small taste of three wines! I would recommend this trip for families or first time wine tasters.

Doing what: Chianti Region Wine Tasting Half-Day Trip from Florence
The second half of this trip was fantastic. However the first part of this tour had nothing to do with the Chianti region and/or wine. Essentially we just wasted about 1 hour at some hole-in-the-wall cafe. The tour guide was HORRIBLE! We could not understand what she was saying and neither could anyone else. Thankfully once you get to the castle for the wine tasting there is a different tour guide who was very good.

Doing what: Chianti Region Wine-Tasting and Dinner Half-Day Trip from Florence
Excellent trip around the Chianti region. Not sure why but this "half-day" trip went for almost 9 hours. Maybe should be called half-day tour plus dinner.

Doing what: Vespa Small Group Day Trip to the Chianti Wine Region
This would have been an amazing day trip if our "tour guide" was more interested in us having a good time, and less interested in how good he was. He spent very little time showing us first time scooter users the ropes, and then told us that if we didn't listen to his instructions than we can do the tour by ourselves. He had an attitude problem from the start, and for the amount of money we paid for this tour, it was really disappointing. We went through towns and traffic with the scooters and at times we were quite lost as to what to do, as the "leader" was so far ahead, and could not care less as to what we were up to. There were only 4 of us in the group, so it would have been a perfect opportunity for us to spend some time taking it easy through the Chianti region, but sadly not. The lunch was nice, however I felt there really wasn't enough food for us all. It was a bread salad really lovely, a bruschetta and a bowl of pasta was placed in the middle of the table for 4 of us to share. Unfortunately the guide never even introduced himself to us, so we didn't get his name, but he acted like he would have rather be doing anything else but taking us on what should have been an amazing experience. I read the other reviews for this and this was going to be the highlight of my Tuscan visit, but frankly, the guide ruined the whole thing for myself and my partner. As a travel agent, I would recommend they get rid of the tall, dark haired lanky man who guides this as he is bad for business.
