Access to Chamonix
In fact, if you’re flying in specifically to ski, it’s actually easier to get to Chamonix from Geneva, as it’s only about 50 miles away (as opposed to 140 miles from Lyon and 380 miles from Paris) and there are several transportation services that go directly from the airport to Chamonix. That being said, you can get a TGV from Paris (including from Charles de Gaulle Airport) to Lyon, and from there you can transfer to St. Gervais-les-Bains (Le Fayet) and on to Chamonix.
