Nice trip to the black forest to taste the real black forest cake.
They both are beautiful place, especially Strasbourg! The scenery is a little different from other city in Germany. What a nice trip!
Got some guy named peter who was a complete bore.
However the tour was informative and the sights were wonderful.
The tour to Lake Titsee in the Black Forest region and the Rhine falls was good. We didn't get to do the boat ride at the Rhine falls, which was disappointing. We felt we spent more time in the bus, as the journey was long.
I had paid for this trip as I was really looking forward to go to Strasbourg. It was a small tour group only 3 of us which was interesting. We went to Baden-Baden first where we had a look around the casinos and spas which wasn't too bad. Then went up to Black Forest in order to see an 800yr old castle and then to go to mumlesee. While in mumlesee I asked our tour guide when we were going to Strasbourg when I was then informed that it's too big of a day and we won't be going. If that was th case I feel that I should have been told at the very beginning of the day what our tour would include. I had paid to go to Black Forest and Strasbourg so I was very disappointed that this was not the experience I got to have.
It was just ok tour....could have been much better. The tour started at 12:30 which is very late and then we got only 30 mins at Rhine falls which was very disappointing....the time just flew by. we could not enjoy at all. Please start the tour early. !!!!! Not recommended at all.
The tour was an excellent introduction to the wonderful Black Forest area. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and he made it very easy to ask questions and learn more. Next time I visit the area I will do so via hiking and exploring more deeply.
This is an enjoyable tour because of the many scenic vistas and charming locations seen while travelling with sufficient time to enjoy each stop. Even if you are not a Heidi fan, the Grandfather “museum” does have an authentic collection of tools for the period of the book and gives a good sense of what life would be like living in such a house in the Swiss Alps.

We had a multi-lingual tour guide who provided a splendid and commentary in both English and Spanish with interesting facts and figures about the towns and villages that the tour bus travelled through from Zurich, via Shafhaussen, crossing the German border at the Rhine River and traversing the Black Forest before arriving at Lake Titisee. The briefing on how cuckoo clocks are made and how they function at the Drubba factory at Lake Titisee was most captivating. However, the "original" black forest cake we sampled near the Drubb factory was slightly disappointing. I preferred the black forest recipe in Malaysia which was smoother and richer in flavour. The other highlight of the tour was the Rhine Shaffhausen falls. We had brilliant evening sunshine when we arrived giving us splendid photography opportunities. Regret we had no me to take the boat ride to the base of the falls and feel the spray in our faces. We had a great evening tour!
Lovely guide, Ana was really friendly and information. The humble village in the midst of the Blackforest is beautiful. Almost like a fairytale land. Adequate time for you to appreciate the town and enjoy a piece of the original Blackforest Cake. The Rheinfalls was magnificent and definitely worth visiting. Grab your tickets and indulge your great summer afternoon at the countryside.
Our trip was very worthwhile - with one consideration. We travelled on a Sunday so when we got to Baden Baden, the thermal springs were closed - the casino was closed , which meant we wasted a lot of time walking the streets to these venues only to be told by our guide when we got there that we couldn't enter...whats the point of that ? Either show us something that IS open or spend less time in the town (maybe a coffee break / toilet visit) and concentrate more time in the other towns.Having said that, the Black Forest was amazing (would have liked more time there) and Strasbourg was really interesting too.
The bus broke down and left us with nothing much to do for two hours. However the guide and driver did their best and paid for a coffee and strudel much to our pleasure. We were happy with the tour but two hours meant a very long day. Maybe the company concerned could spend a little more on vehicle service.
I was a bit disappointing, I think this trip is overpriced for the value.
There were a long drive for the Black Forest for not so much to see.
The tour left almost on time (10 min late). But we reached on time in Black forest. It is nice. Time to see everything is a little less. Then we reached Rhine Falls. on time. Nice view. Time to see is little less.
We reached back on time. The printout of the voucher was promptly accepted. Everything went smoothly.
Although we did buy the cookoo clock from the store which had the demo as a part of the tour, there were many other shops that also sell the cookoo clock. Wish we had known that so we would have compared prices. Overall, very nice trip.
It absolutely poured the whole time. Unfortunately, they won't give you a rain pass. Since you spend 90% of your time on the bus, the rain prevented me from taking any pictures at all because the bus windows were covered in rain drops
