Comment from Jodi R
The French Riviera is an even more glamorous summer destination when accompanied by the soundtrack of an international jazz, accordion, electronics or country music festival. Set your holiday to music and kick back with the sounds of your choice beneath the stars down by the Mediterranean Sea, on famous Promenades, on village squares, in parks and gardens…
A major event in the entertainment calendar since 1948, the Nice Jazz Festival brings a line-up of stars to the seaside city, with this years venues Masséna stage and Théâtre de Verdure, promising to be “more accessible, more open, more urban.” The program runs from 8th to 12th July, in a series of themed nights including Tribute to Miles Davis, World Music, Sweet Soul, Funk, New Generation and Jazz Masters. Concerts by Macy Gray, Kind of Blue Revisited, John McLaughlin, No Jazz, Morcheeba, Seal, Trombone Shorty, Keziah Jones and legendary Wynton Marsalis.
