Excellent tour with a very good tour guide. Two years ago, I took the city tour with a tired and bored guide who did the minimum. This time was entirely different. The 45 minutes boat trip on the lake was wonderful and relaxing.
Inspired choice to have a short overview of Geneva. Very well organized, but zero time to visit inside the buildings (at least 10 min to visit the cathedral should be included in the timetable).
I was not knocked out by this trip. It was fun touring the chocolate factory and the fondue lunch in Gruyere was delicious. It would have been nice if admittance to the castle there was included, but it was not. Also, our trip to the vineyard was cancelled at the last minute and substituted with a quick stop in Montreaux for coffee. This did not seem like an adequate replacement and I would have preferred a refund of some of the cost. For the price I would not recommend this trip.
Tour was great , seen a bit of everything . I enjoyed the train ride , tour guide and the food ! Kenneth. , Sanford , North Carolina
Lovely day trip with two preteen boys. They were fascinated by the cable car rides. This trip involves walking across town to the restaurant and climbing A LOT of stairs, so if you have mobility issues (I was on crutches that day), I would skip it. If you are able-bodied, and you are looking for a nice day tour with your children, then this is a great trip.
Our tour guide is knowledgeable and I am impressed at his multilingual skills. He speaks Japanese very well. It was an enjoyable experience.
While visiting our daughter in Geneva we took this trip and enjoyed it very much. The views were breathtaking and the lunch in Chaminox was delicious. It was a very enjoyable day trip.
The views were breathtaking but the trip felt rushed. I would have liked more info on the history of Chamonix and Montblanc although tour guide was very knowledgeable about geology. The trip was far too expensive.
Good narrative and a great overall tour. Went up to Mt. Blanc - phenomenal. Took the train up to the glacier and the lunch was very good. Great value for a full day.
This tour really showed how beautiful the Alps are. It was truly breathtaking.
Unfortunately, a few things went wrong the day of our tour which was disappointing but we still really enjoyed ourselves.
First of all our original double decker bus was broken down so we had to share a bus with a group of skiers. It was loud and hard to hear out tour guide. Secondly, the part of the tour that takes you to the glacier on the train was cancelled as the train had technical difficulties. This wasn't anyone's fault but it was disappointing to come all that way and not see it. The tour company refunded the train tickets at the end of the tour which was really good.
The town of Chamonix is beautiful. Plenty of food and shopping. We obviously had extra time to explore the town due to the cancellation of the train. I would recommend this tour to anyone but if you are afraid of heights or get bad altitude sickness, then this tour probably isn't for you. It's very high on the mountain and you do experience slight altitude sickness and shortness of breath while your up there. Nothing too bad, but it just best to be aware before you book the tour. You can choose not to take the gondola up if you want.
All in all, a great day!
While we could have pieced together this trip on our own, we never would have done it so effortlessly and stress-free. It also helped that the day we went was absolutely beautiful in Chamonix and the views were amazingly clear and enjoyable.
