Doing what: Day Trip to Lausanne, Montreux and Château de Chillon
I really enjoyed going through the castle and the boat ride from Montreux. Sandra enjoyed the shopping in Montreux, as well. We had a very good guide on this tour.

Doing what: Chamonix and Mont Blanc
This was a great tour for the price. Our tour guide was helpful and gave useful information and reiterated the itinerary so there was no confusion.
The weather was not ideal- overcast and a whiteout at the top of Chamonix, but the views on the way up and down were amazing. The lunch we had was incredible- the food was high quality and delicious (I opted for the vegetarian options). As great as that was I might have opted to skip lunch and have more time for shopping as there were plenty of quicker places to grab food.
The train ride to the glacier was scenic and the glacier itself was impressive from the overlooks. The gondola service to take you down for the hike to the glacier entrance was temporarily suspended when we got there due to high winds but did start back up while we were there. I did not know wht aluck that was until I went down and did the ~350 steps down to the glacier entrance. You are able to walk through the glacier in a small loop and it's a unique experience. The walk back up is a bit tiring but well worth it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and imagine it's that much more amazing on a day with clear weather.

Definitely worth doing to get one's bearings and learn about the highligts of Geneva.
Found the many languages used by the tour guide somewhat distracting. Each tour member received somewhat different information due to the guide trying to accommodate 3 or 4 languages.

The British gent who served as guide could've been more pleasant but instead was the kind of guide you snicker at for his lack of tact. The trip up the gondolas to see Mt Blanc was fun, however once you get to the top (we went in February) it's EXTREMELY windy/cold to a point of numbing your exposed extremities! Be ready for altitude sickness as well... for my wife and I the feeling of nausea and headache was nearly immediate in the coffee shop. This isn't a complaint about the tour of course it's just a physiological certainty that a quick 10k ft ascent will negatively affect a person's body.
The lunch was quick but pleasant in Chamonix, as was the tourist shopping/site seeing in the cute little town. Some of the best doodads/baubbles/gifts are located in the same building where the gondola takes off from. When we were in that initial gift shop (where the gondola was) we decided to hold off and wait for the crush of tourist shops in the Chamonix village proper. We never saw the same gifts and then it was too late because before we knew it the tour bus had swept us away.
Expensive trip but fun despite the Brit guide who seemed angry/bothered about something personal. He took pride in predicting the demise of the US economy, about how uninformed Americans are concerning Euro geography and politics. Also he continually asked advanced geological questions about global "wettening" (not warming) and baited us into giving what seemed to be reasonable answered then took pride in telling us our answers were 'typical' and wrong. What a joy.

Doing what: Chamonix and Mont Blanc
The tour started on time. Unfortunately that was the only good thing. The weather was not so good. The guide told us that this happens every now and then and we should not worry about it. When we reached Chamonix, we were told that the lifts are not operational and are going only half way. We spent time doing nothing in the town and then went on for lunch, which was terrible as well. Then we were told that the train is not running so had nothing to do but wait in the town strolling till the departure time. So all in all spent huge amount for the tour to just go to Chamonix and have lunch. Is the weather condition not usual to the tour operators? Can they not have options ready for these weather conditions when the tourists are ready to pay huge sums with an expectation to get good returns if not fantastic experience? Not recommended, coz u never know whats the weather like and the operators don't help you to something good in these conditions.

I would do it again in a second. The guide was thoughtful, informative and intelligent. The views were breathtaking ,,,,what little air there was at 12000+ feet. The town was charming, the food at the resturant was very good and the ice caves were cool. Thanks again for a memorable time.
Viator has not failed me yet.

Spectacular views and well organised - well worth a day trip. Chamonix is a lovely town and I would skip the lunch and do your own thing - lovey cafes in town.

Tour was great! I really wanted to see the UN buildings, and it was amazing to be able to go around and see all of the places that were important to me. The tour guide was great, and she was so informative!
