One of the Gold Coast's big drawcards for visitors is its clutch of thrill-filled theme parks.  There are a whole raft of ticketing options too, giving you access to multiple parks. Here are the big hitters - get ready for some fun!

Dreamworld

Dreamworld is the Big Kahuna of the theme parks, with non-stop rides, shows and entertainment. If you love a thrill ride, this is your theme park. There's the Tower of Terror (tallest and fastest ride in the world), the Giant Drop and The Claw, where you'll be spun, propelled and thrilled in equal measure. The little ones can travel to Wiggles World, animal lovers can go to Tiger Island and heroes can dive into combat with Alien vs Predator!

Warner Brothers Movie World

Everyone loves to be in pictures and Warner Brothers Movie World is bags of fun. Incorporating adrenaline-pumping, high-speed rides like the Superman Escape rollercoaster and Lethal Weapon rides, Movie World can satisfy kids of all ages. Teens will enjoy the faster rides and the 4D movies, while the younger ones will love the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster and the Looney Tunes Village.

Sea World

Ever wanted to get up close to Australia's famously feared sharks without getting, you know, eaten? Then head to Sea World, where you can safely hang out with them at Shark Bay. Prefer your marine life a bit cuddlier? There are lively dolphins, seals and polar bears, as well as Bert and Ernie performing on Sesame Street. Parents can go retro with the 1960's themed Waterski Wipeout show and everyone can learn something from the 4D animated 'Planet SOS.'

Wet 'n' Wild Waterworld

The name says it all – it's wet and it's wild! Think surfing a Giant Wave Pool, watching dive-in movies or lazing on the sands of Calypso Beach. Get your adrenaline running in the Whirlpool rapids, scream your heart out as you ride the world's first wet roller coaster or dive into the aptly named Mammoth Falls. Buccaneer Bay is a kid-friendly playground of splashy fun. Slides and pools are heated during Australia's cooler months for year-round fun, and the park is constantly patrolled for safety.
