We had a great day at the Alhambra Palace and gardens. It is a beautiful place rich in history and it was definitely worth the money to go with our guide Pepe and learn about the place and to hear his entertaining stories. It was very busy there but it ran smoothly and was really well organised.
Very good tour. Great that the group split into language groups and we didn't have to hear the same information in 4 different languages. Our guide put a lot of energy into giving us detailed information and showing us every corner of the Alhambra and gardens. 30 minutes free time in the middle of the tour was much appreciated as the pace was fast moving and the day very hot.
This tour is a must. I wouldn´t attempt to go to Alhambra without it. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about what he does. What a wonderful historical opportunity.
Antonio was a terrific guide and his love of Granada and the Alhambra was apparant to all. We truly enjoyed our tour.
I was an interesting trip. Alhambra and Generalife are indeed very big, so to have a guide is the best option. Only plan your trip to be finished after 2pm not earlier.
The tour was excellent. We were picked up on time at our hotel and taken to the Alhambra where we were divided into groups according to language. Our Dutch guide was brilliant. He made the whole place come alive and his knowledge of the history and culture of the place made for a most enjoyable visit.
The Alhambra is spectacular, of course, and it can be quite overwhelming without a good guide. Ours (Tiguan? Did not catch the spelling of his name.) was fantastic - he gave us detailed information about each area and added so much extra history and context. There is a LOT of walking, so make sure your shoes are comfortable. With so many people and so much ground to cover, this tour could have been a disaster - but it was extremely well organized and nicely delivered, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Although the hotel pick-up didn't extend to those staying in the Albaicin the tour of the Alhambra and gardens was excellent. This was due in no small part to our guide Trinny who was just brilliant; experienced, knowledgable, informative and with a good sense of humour. Very well done to her.
The local tour operator is not very organized. We were staying close to the Alhambra so we didn´t get the hotel pick up and it was difficult to find the group at the meeting point. We were told to look for Granada Visión at the ticket office of parking #1. At that location there is an audioguide stand and the was a lot of people. Neither the stand or the staff had a sign so it was difficult to find them. Tour guide was ok, not great. The Alhambra is wonderful!
Would not recommend in the slightest. The Alhambra tour was pretty good and I would probably do that part again. However the whole tour was a mess. I was really miss lead about how the tour operates. I was under the understanding it was one big tour when in reality it was two very separate tours. The baths were shocking. I felt really uncomfortable because of people's behaviors in the pools and I had to wait until the very end for my massage even though I was one of the first to turn up. This was not a good experience and I would not recommend it what so ever.
The guided tour of the Alhambra was brilliant, the guide was very knowledgeable and passionate which came over really well. The baths were beautifully relaxing and just right after a day sightseeing. A great experience.
The actual tour guide was quite good. He spoke excellent English and had tremendous knowledge, both historical and otherwise, of the Alhambra and Generalife. The only reason I did not give this tour 5 stars is that the individuals from the tour group who met with us spoke limited English and were quite abrupt before turning us over to the tour guide, Antonio.
The Alhambra is fantastic and, luckily, there weren't that many people. Our guide was well-informed and had a great personality. Since this was a birthday to myself, I opted for the baths. Certainly worth it. I was a little nervous about how I would know it was my turn for the massage because I was lounging in the sauna and the hot water area - I thought I had missed it. After a half hour of lounging, I asked the guy and he said another 30 minutes. Aaahhhhhh!!!! - more lounging - fantastic. I really enjoyed my day.
Tour was satisfactory, better directions to the Baths would be helpful. Alhambra itself is beautiful!
