We went on this fantastic day trip to the Grand Canyon in April 2013 and had the most wonderful time. Our driver/ tour guide was Devon and was fantastic....humorous and giving us plenty of information about our numerous stops. The Grand Canyon was absolutely stunning and we stopped at many different locations for different views. The IMAX theater gave up exciting views and historical background. Dining at El Tovar overlooking the Grand Canyon was a great dining experience. Bravo on time and money well spent for a memorable day!

This was a very good trip and cheaper than many other similar ones. We rang the local tour operator upon our arrival in Vegas to arrange the pick up time from our hotel. No issues, trip ran smoothly.
Long day but one of the 'must do's' whilst visiting Vegas. Note to self, if you are just visiting at the top of the Canyon as we did with this trip, take warm clothing! We visited in April and it was cold at the top with a little but of snow which had fallen the day before! Thouroughly enjoyable trip :)

A long day (the south rim is much further than the West rim tour) but so worth the trip, as once you get to the Canyon the views are amazing! On the way to the Canyon, there's a quick stop at Hoover Dam, so get your camera ready. If you purchase the helicopter experience, you'll be dropped off first, while the rest of the bus head to the National Geographic Centre. Some people selected the Pink Jeep experience (small group tours of the Canyon), or select the IMAX movie (30 min). Skip the IMAX movie if you want more time to walk around the National Geographic Centre or to relax and enjoy your lunch. (You get a lunch voucher). There will always be a lot of other bus tours, so be prepared to take a lot of quick shots then move on to the next viewing platform. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, it's warm but can get cold on the bus ride back to Las Vegas. Enjoy this amazing natural wonder!

This trip is WELL WORTH IT.... especially if you get to have JOE HOLMAN as your guide. He is REALLY knowledgeable and a true admirer of the Grand Canyon lifestyle... what made this trip special is his insights and stories along with his ability to have fun.... Check out Joe's website for more info:

We took the Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Helicopter Option.
It was the most exhilarating experience ever. I would strongly recommend the helicopter option, as you really do see far more of the Canyon than just going to the south rim. A very long day in the bus but very much worth every cent.

LOVED the GRAND CANYON!
We were picked up 5.30am (from downtown) then had to WAIT ON SOME PICKUPS while the nice driver scouted then down -- PEOPLE SHOULD BE READY and ON TIME!!
The check-in could have been quicker, a lot of time was wasted hearing Mr Personality tell us what we were about to see ... lets GO-O-O.
Our driver, Mark, was very nice, informative and an EXCELLENT DRIVER.
The stops going ... Hoover Dam, the potty break, McD at Kingman and Nat'l Geographic for lunch were quick but okay. It would have been nice to have tables between the rows of seats or drop tables from the backs of seats instead of eating from your lap while holding a drink and being crunched up .. but we all seemed to have managed, it was just somewhat uncomfortable.
The 2 Canyon stops were spectacular! A little more time to look, take pics and shop would have been very nice. Still it was an incredible tour.
The ride back was quite lengthy with only 1-stop for potty and food. We needed at least another stop but actually there wasnt any place between the barron land of the Canyon and Kingman!
Arriving in LV we had a driver exchange which took 15-20 min while we were 'trapped' inside the bus and not given a stretch break before all the hotel stops.
We finally arrived at our hotel downtown at MIDNIGHT.
It was a very long, tiresome trip but well worth the spectacular views of the Canyon and we do highly recommend the trip.
Im rating a 4-star because of the time wasted checking in plus the rush-rush and hurry-hurry but overall the Canyon views were fantastic and spectacular .. a site to behold which EVERYONE SHOULD SEE!

The bus was a Double Decker and enjoyable (for a bus). The seats reclined and there were movies and documentaries showed on the ride there and back. Our bus driver was awesome too! There was a bathroom stop at McDonald's at the half way point in both directions. We also called the company the morning of the trip and were given an exact pick-up time which was very helpful.
I gave this a 4 and not a 5 for two reasons.... First, the time at the visitors center was not long enough for those of us watching the IMAX movie. It was suggested that we actually take our lunch into the IMAX movie. There was little time to look around the gift shop line was long considering we were on time limit. Second, the lunch provided (I got the pizza) was old tasting as if it had been sitting there a few hours. I do recommend getting some of your own food at the McDonald's stop or bring your own.

The walk is worthwhile in spite of distances. I have some suggestions that can help persons who do not speak English well, how me and my friends.
As the driver only speaks English, I suggest what does an itinerary written in Spanish. This itinerary must contain the stops of the walk, as well as the time of duration of each stop.
A thing attracted attention in the walk, two stops to eat next, one in a small snack bar and other one, after 10 minutes in Mac Donalds. When the driver asked that we did the requests, I understood that it would be to speed up in Mac Donalds. It astonishes, a horrible snack of the snack bar, worse, 10 minutes after another stop in the Mac. Will it be that the snack bar belongs to the driver? joke...

Bit disappointed to be honest The trip was misleading and thought the way it was worded that the jeep ride was included only to be told quite firmly by the tour group it was nt and if I wanted to add that it would be a further 99 dollars !! I had to pay it to enjoy what I though was included Amazing trip all in all but at the extra cost ..
