Our trip to the grand Canyon was unbelievable, the driver was a great tour guide, very pleasant and profewional I cannot believe that aqnyone on that bus was not pleased with him
The tour was awesome! At first I was rather skeptical of it, but don't regret it one bit. I have never been one that has said seeing the Grand Canyon is something I just have to do, but after the great experience I had I would surely recommend it! The bus was clean and comfortable for the long journey. Vincent was the best bus driver we could have ever imagined! He kept the group moving to maximize our time at the canyon. He provided us with interesting facts about the area and played family friendly movies to help pass the time in the bus. For the price you certainly can't go wrong!
It was a Great Tour!!!! One thing I would suggest have the South Rim Group pay and load Bus first before the West Rim. South Rim takes longer to get too. But it was Great. Enjoyed
It's fine if all you're looking for is a lift there and back. Our bus driver wasn't very interesting (not for lack of trying), didn't share any facts about the grand canyon. Also we finished our trip about 1.5hours behind scheduled.
We are happy that we took the trip to the South Rim. We thought we would be back to the hotel around 9:30 and did not get back until 11:00 +, that was a bit of a surprise. I thought I had also read that the lunch would at a sit down resteraunt. We're not really pizza hut or McDonald kind of folk and were a bit surprised at the lunch options. The bus was comfortable and the main driver was nice. It was a long day for him to be driving and he needed to change drivers when we got back to Vegas which extended the trip longer. We had also already tipped the first driver so we felt he should have given the relief driver a little of his tips. We did not feel tipping the relief driver was necessary... though I did feel bad that he was picking up at 10:00 at night for his hourly wage. He was also nice and friendly. All and all it was a very nice trip.
We really enjoyed our trip! Our bus driver, Jeff to the Left was excellent! He knew so much about Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon ... things you don't read about in brochures. The transportation was also comfortable and clean. My friends and I will definitely recommend.
We greatly enjoyed our visit to the Grand Canyon. Our driver Walter was excellent. Only down side was the IMAX. Rubbish film, a complete rip-off and put time pressure on what would otherwise have been a pleasant lunch break.
great trip. very nice views, it was worth the extra time getting there. everyone was very professional and made sure all questions were answered. i would diff do it again. i would skip the imax movie. was short and not that great. i think everyone should try there best to get the helicopter ride.
Great trip if your short on time to see the canyon. The flight was a bit bumpy however it only lasted 45 minutes so should be Ok if your prone to being air sick. The views were excellent and the boxed lunch was fine - i had a ham salad roll, an apple, a packet of bite size biscuits, a packet of plain chips and a bottle of water.
The trip was great. Both of us enjoyed the trip. Our bus driver, Walter, was funny and informative. It was a very long day we got back to our hotel after 10 pm so we were tired. But it was so much nicer than driving ourselves that distance. I would recommend this trip if you want to be able to, at the very least, see the Grand Canyon. Viator did have the best price for the bus tour that I found. But be prepared to pay a $20.00 extra fee (for 2) the morning you leave. I am not sure what the fee covered. Overall it was a good experience and we met a lot of nice people on the bus who were from all over the USA and the world (India, Colombia, Australia.) One bit of advice the elevation at the Canyon is 8000 feet so be prepared. Drink lots of water and bring a jacket it can be cooler than you would expect. And wear good walking shoes - the paths are paved but you still walk up and down quite a bit. We saw one woman stumble on some of the stairs. Otherwise enjoy the tour.
Our tour was postponed until the next day because of snow and it turned out to be perfectly clear the day we went. Transfer from hotel to airport was on time. Flight was smoother that expected but because we were on the wrong side of the plane we didn't see Hoover Dam as we flew over. There was adequate time at the rim for viewing and photos. The group we were in were mostly Japanese so there was an interpreter on the bus. It was a worry when the driver used a hand held microphone while driving with one hand!!
The driver and guide is the most likable person I've ever seen. Eloquent, humorous and all-time friendly. The only pity is we were given only two hours to watch the amazing view. 3 hours would be more ideal.
