Apart from the 18 hours on the bus it was brilliant to see the Grand Canyon. It was a well organised tour and I would recommend dong it. The day started with the tour company giving us a wake up call at 445 before being collected from our hotel Treasure Island at 6am. The bus ride was long but we stopped off at Hoover Dam for a quick look. You also stop on the way there and way home at Kingman McDonalds. This is both for a toilet break if required or food if really necessary. The driver also picks out things along the way which are interesting. You also get to watch movies which are age appropriate.
The only thing I could complain about was we had the chance to sit at the top of the double decker bus. This provided us with a magnificent view but as the people downstairs were cold, the heater made the upstairs completely stifling and uncomfortable. Especially on the way home.
We chose the helicopter ride. This was absolutely brilliant. Wish the pilot spoke to us about what we were seeing but you had to listen to a recorded message and at times the helicopter noise was so loud you couldn't hear the recording and missed out on things
All in all, I would do it again

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Air and Ground Tour

Visiting the Grand Canyon was something I was really looking forward to and it certainly didn't disappoint! The worst part was being picked up at 5:15am from the hotel but the views and experience certainly made up for it.

I would definitely recommend visiting the Grand Canyon from Vegas this way as you saved so much time flying rather than driving there. The company was well organised and provided a lovely packed lunch with plenty of choice. The flight was pleasant and allowed great views.

I would have loved to have spent longer at the Grand Canyon than what we did, but this trip more than served its purpose, in that it provided a chance to visit it whilst we were staying in Vegas.

Leaving so early meant that we beat the crowds and was able to enjoy the views without our experience being ruined by hoards of people.

My only criticism is that it was a dual language tour and it appeared as if the non-English speaking members of the group had access to a company tour guide for the duration where we didn't.

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to visit this amazing place.

I enjoyed the grand canyon, but unfortunately I had a mishap. When you arrive they encourage you to update if you want to come back sooner, so my husband and I decided to do it. My tour consisted of IMAX, which was never mentioned so I assumed it came with the west tur also. When I asked the driver about it he told me to contact the bus co.I pad an additional 36.00 for the tickets. They refused to reimburse me and said they took in consideration for the price quoted. They told everyone that they would have to pay an additional 30.00, not just us.I am going to write them a letter also.

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Optional Upgrades

This was a fantastic tour. The South Rim is even more beautiful than the West Rim. However the transportation time is too long. Our total tour from pick up to drop off was actually 18 hours. At leaast 2 - 3 hours could have been saved it the pickup did not include heading to the local tour office for administrative processing, this took over 1 hour. In addition the drop offs were horribly coordinated, the driver dropped of a couple at Luxor, them headed towards the airport, then back to stip area. Seems like we went back and forth a few times. By the time the bus arrived to MGM, guest from Bellagio and Baly's got off an worked to their hotel, which was probably faster.
This was a wonder tour, except for the pre and post transportation.

Magnificence and breath taking. I urge you not to miss this. However, it is a long 17 hour tour.

This was one of the longest tours I have ever done , the bus pickup went smooth, we were taken to the depot were we had to join a line to checkin.

The bus took off and the first thing that concerned me was the driver saying the 2 nd bus has to follow us as its his first time taking the tour.

Another thing that surprised me was the mandatory stop each way at a McDonald's

The IMAX movie was brilliant at the Nat Geo Grand Canyon as was the brilliant views of the Grand Canyon - brilliant day visiting .

We were due back in to Las Vegas by 9 pm ish , we got to south port casino at 11.30 pm , they then needed to arrange mini busses to pick us up and take us back into Vegas . Me and another Aussie decided to get a taxi as this was late enough . I reckon this was due to the other bus . I loved the canyon but not how long it took.

I enjoyed the view of the Grand Canyon, but I think the time spent at the Hoover Dam could be a little longer.

16 hr day, 12 hrs in the bus and only 2 hrs viewing the canyon.
still if you have never seen the canyon, and this is your only chance to see it,
definitely do it.

we guess the Grand Canyon is incredible, however our bus broke down and in 16.5 hours we got 5o minutes at one stop in the South Rim.
Also don't like the one and only stop being McDonalds!

The food was terrible. Pick up and drop off arrangement was very bad- was the first one on the pick-up and last one on the drop-off list.

Our Grand Canyon Tour was wonderful. Our driver, Ray, was excellent and very entertaining. We really enjoyed it. It was a long day but well worth the money.

Great day!! Actually decided to do West end and Skywalk. The Tour guide (I forgot his name) was absolutely great!! He gave info about local Las Vegas,Nevada, Arizona and the Grand Canyon and made every effort to take care of the passengers in every way.

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Air and Ground Tour

I had very little time available to me for exploring while in Las Vegas. I was very pleased to find a Grand Canyon tour to the South Rim that would not take up a whole day! This tour was AMAZING from the booking process to the bus tour, I don't have a negative word to say!
The views of the Grand Canyon were nothing less than SPECTACULAR! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Air and Ground Tour

The whole trip we had a wonderful funny Japanese native tour guide who made sure we had the best times in the canyon. The lunch pack provided was nutritious as I sat and admired the south rim Grand Canyon . It was a packed efficient tour and we were back to our hotels happy and satisfied.

Its a super long day(16 hrs) but a great deal for a day away. You get a stop at Hoover dam and an hour each at two lookouts. The only annoyance was stopping at McDonald's twice. The people are friendly the price is right and the canyon is truly awe inspiring.
